Wide-eyed-warnings & Goofy-grins

There was a time in my life when Christians annoyed me. I remember them approaching me, thumpin’ their Bibles with their wide-eyed warnings and goofy grins. I was confused at how they could talk about the love and salvation of Jesus and the evil and destructive Apocalypse in the same breath. I remember them cautioning that I needed to prepare myself for Christ’s return because “the end was near”. I rejected their message and inwardly scoffed at how presumptuous and brainwashed I felt they were. Looking back, I realize that I refused to listen and study the Bible because I did not want the Christians to be right - my treasures were here on earth and I was not interested in focusing on the hereafter (”There are none who are as deaf as those who do not want to hear”). However, human beings are both flesh and spirit. Although my flesh was clinging to this world, my spirit ached for the eternal - and demanded that I do my homework.

So…
fast forward, here I am - a Bible thumper. I now understand the urgency behind the wide-eyed warnings and the love and hope behind the goofy grins. I understand that the Bible stands alone as God’s word to man and that no other book in human history speaks of the future like the Bible. Just as the B.C. generations were called to study Messianic prophecy in order to recognize Christ’s First Coming, we are called to study End Times prophecy to recognize the signs of His Second Coming. I have had amazing opportunities to learn from some of the best Bible prophecy/Middle East experts from around the world. How do they know that we are headed toward the tribulation hour? We are among the first generations to understand the following:

“Rise in scoffers/deception”
The Bible warns that near the End Times, there will be a rise in people scoffing at the Bible, Christians, and talk of Christ’s return. “Scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying “Where is the promise of His coming?” (2 Peter 3:2) If you’re scoffing right now – you are a part of prophecy fulfilled ;). There will also be a rise in false teachers, false prophets, cults, messages that contradict the Bible and appeal to people’s sinful nature. Many of us are frustrated with the blatant displays of evil and abhorrence of facts, logic, reason… how some people can’t see the obvious. Daniel 12:10 warned us that in the end “The wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.” 2 Timothy 3:6-7 tries to explain that ignorance of the Bible will lead to deception. As my pastor put it, “If you don’t know your Bible, you will be fooled.”

“Rise in pestilence, famines, earthquakes, natural disasters”
(Matthew 24:3-7) I recently had a government official at my school site. His job was to prepare/inform our staff of the procedures for lock down/quarantine concerning the spread of highly contagious pan epidemic flus/viruses. The National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration stated that over the past 25 years we’ve experienced an increase in super storms and earthquakes like the world has never seen. According to Rev 16:18-20:”There will be such a mighty and great earthquake as has not occurred since men were on the earth. Then every island will flee away, and the mountains will not be found.” Liberals have their scapegoat ready to go: Global Warming. The Left has appropriately renamed their religion “Climate Change”… and yes, our climate is and will continue to make some serious changes.

“Rebirth of Israel”
After the Romans sacked Jerusalem in 70 AD, the Jews were scattered across the earth - just as prophecy predicted (Deuteronomy 28:64). On May 14, 1948, after almost 1900 years, Israel became a state again and the Jews returned home. This event fulfilled Bible prophecy (Deut. 30:5, Is. 11:11-12, Ez. 36:24, Is. 66:8), and was nothing short of a miracle. Through his parables, Jesus cautioned that when Israel regains sovereignty, you will know that the End Times and Kingdom of God is near.

“Wars and rumors of wars”
“For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.” (Matthew 24:6-7). Wars are occurring all around the world, but the ultimate and final battle will be for Jerusalem. The demonic ideology of antisemitism is on the rise again. The Bible warns us of God’s punishment on the nation’s that divide Israel’s land (yet that is EXACTLY what we are trying to do) and that in the end, ALL nations will rise up against Israel and be punished for it (Zech 12:3, Joel 3:2). Revelation 9:16 discusses an army of 200 million that (combined with pestilence and natural disasters) will wipe out a third of mankind. As the world’s population rises above 6 billion, it is increasingly possible to amass an army of 200 million, but this would have been unthinkable even 100 years ago. In Zechariah 14:12, concerning the final battle it states “Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet, their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, and their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths.” Past generations did not understand this type of instant and complete destruction, but we do – it’s describing how the human body reacts when exposed to an H-bomb.

“Knowledge Explosion”
The book of Daniel describes a great increase of knowledge that the world will experience towards the End Times. Revelations discusses how people from around the globe will be able to access knowledge instantly and simultaneously, that people from all over the world will watch the apocalyptic events as they are unfolding. While this was incomprehensible to past generations, it is common practice for us today thanks to television/internet/satellite (can we say web cams, cell phone videos, You Tube?). Our generation also understands how technology has paved the way for “the mark of the beast” (possibly a micro chip) that a person will have to have in order to “buy or sell”. This mark will also show your allegiance to the anti-Christ and his One World Religion. According to Rev. 20:4, those who refuse the mark will be beheaded. How is it that something as barbaric and ancient as beheadings will be common practice in the future? Here’s a possibility: “I will cast dread into the heart of the infidels: Strike off their heads then, and strike off from them every finger-tip” (Koran, Sura 8:12)

“Every single country mentioned in the Scriptures, regarding the end of time, that God punishes, for attacking Israel, is Muslim today… Do you have 365 days, eight hours a day, so I can show you what the Bible says about the coming Islamic invasion of the world? It’s all over Scripture! God didn’t forget to tell us. You forgot to read the Bible. It is all in there.” ~Walid Shoebat

Walid Shoebat is an ex-PLO terrorist and converted Muslim. As he studied the Bible he realized that Islam’s savior, Mahdi (aka: the Twelfth Imam) is the anti-Christ of the Bible. According to Shoebat, the Bible names the anti-Christ as ruler of the world, but specifically names: “Assyrian” (Syria),”Persian” (Iran), “King of Babylon” (Iraq), “Prince of Tyre” (Lebanon), “Pharoah of Egypt”. The anti-Christ will want to change time (hello lunar calendar), change laws (hello Sharia), will have a disdain for women (hello burka) and persecute Christians, Jews and all others who refuse to accept him (hello infidels) (Daniel 7:25, 11:37, Revelations). The Islamic world has announced that Mahdi will be returning soon. According to Islamic belief, Mahdi will dominate the world, confirm a peace treaty, abolish the treaty half way through (what is known to Muslims as hudna and al-taqiyya), persecute the infidels, attempt to destroy Israel… sound familiar? It’s not only Bible prophecy (Zechariah, Daniel, Revelations) it’s Islamic prophecy as well.

Jesus says that although we will not know the exact hour, we will know He is returning by the signs. “So you also, when you see these things happening, know that it is near – at the doors”. (Mark 13:29)

With wars raging, the dollar falling, Islam rising, natural disasters and pan epidemics looming, our choice of candidates for the ‘08 elections - why the goofy grin? I have found the ultimate treasure and it is not of this world.

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. How many individuals out there have the need to own a box cutter for personal use?

How many of you out there normally keep Box Cutters hidden in hollowed out Books?

How many of you out there keep Box Cutters hidden in a book, that you happen to be trying to board a U.S. Airline with?

How many of you happen to do all these things, & also carry the same Koran that the 9/11 highjackers were students of, but are not up to no good?

Islamic Terrorists in the Sept. 11 attacks reportedly used box cutters in at least one jet. Since then, airlines installed armored cockpit doors and imposed strict rules on opening them in flight.

Are we supposed to ignore all these hard facts & just chock this up to absent mindedness, or forgetfulness?

Well that’s what one Benjamin Baines Jr. expects us to believe.

In his backpack, Florida airport security officials found a hollowed-out book that hid the razor-sharp tool. Also inside the backpack: a Koran, a Holy Bible and rap music lyrics referencing police, drugs and guns.

Baines, 21, of Clearwater told investigators he forgot the box cutter was inside the copy of Fear Itself when he packed his bag for a trip to Las Vegas, states a report by Tampa International Airport police.

He was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, a misdemeanor. He pleaded guilty Monday in Hillsborough County court and received a 30-day jail sentence. The U.S. Attorney’s Office is looking into the case but has not filed charges.

We’ll be watching to see if this potential “security prober” will walk away with only a 30-day sentence, which would allow him to continue to fulfill any “recruitment” obligations he may have outstanding. I hope the feds charge him according to his crime. ~ Dan Lee

Canadians beware, there is a malignant Cancer within your midst, & it seeks to devour your freedoms & liberties. No matter whether you agree with the content of media or entertainment or what have you, censorship is a dangerous double edged sword, & freedom of speech is a right for which many have been willing to fight & die for. Now the Canadian HRC “Human Rights Commission” has apparently abandoned it’s own name, & is attacking the God given free speech rights of it’s own citizens, by punishing a conservative publisher for republishing the cartoons that were the center of the Danish cartoon controversy.

A trip to the CHRC website seems to indicate that they are pretty well outside of the boundries of their original purpose in pursuing this complaint in the first place.

Syed Soharwardy, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Canada, filed a complaint against editor Ezra Levant, after the Western Standard published cartoons that are alleged to have depicted Muhammad, which included a Muslim man with a bomb-shaped turban, and the commission is now “investigating.” (Again, as if they have a right to..) In many ways they are Canada’s version of another organization that’s gone terrible astray in the United States, the ACLU.

Mr. Levant called his appearance before the human rights commission “an interrogation.”

“To me, this is offensive,” he said.

“A secular government bureaucracy has essentially been hijacked by a radical Muslim imam,” he said. “It’s being used to further his fatwa against these cartoons.”

“We have a great tradition of free speech in Canada,” he said.

“My freedom to publish a cartoon that some radical Muslim imam doesn’t like, well that’s the free west for ya.”

People in Canada & the United States alike, had better wake up to the agenda of Radical Muslims, that is to impose their laws & values on the rest of us. On the following video you can see that Muslims in this country admit that they want to impose their values on the rest of the country, & there are clearly plenty of moonbats who are willing to drown out the speech of anyone who opposes them. It’s more proof to me that the only kind of “Liberty” liberals in the United States & Canada embrace, is the kind of “liberty” they approve of. That’s not liberty at all, now is it..

We cannot afford as a society to leave Mr. Ezra Levant alone in this battle to protect his freedom, & we must all heed the following words from Pastor Martin Niemoller’s address to the US Congress in 1968, the year of my birth.

“When Hitler attacked the Jews
I was not a Jew, therefore I was not concerned.
And when Hitler attacked the Catholics,
I was not a Catholic, and therefore, I was not concerned.
And when Hitler attacked the unions and the industrialists,
I was not a member of the unions and I was not concerned.
Then Hitler attacked me and the Protestant church —
and there was nobody left to be concerned.”

When Radical Islam attacks the free speech of journalists with the help of the Canadian or any other government, we had all better be very concerned.

P.S. On an interesting note about the Canadian Human Rights Commission, if you click on their complaint link, it’s broken.. I guess that kind of speech is also discouraged. Go Figure.. I expected nothing more from them.

Not that it’s a shocking surprise to anyone, but the Pakistani government has recanted their ridiculous story that steered people towards the belief that Benazir Bhutto was not shot by an assailant. Subsequently released video footage of the assassination pretty much put an end to that cover up attempt, & now a new form of damage control will need to be devised.

It will be interesting to see what comes of the election process in Pakistan in the next month or so. I’m predicting more violence in the wake of the election, no matter who wins. I wish I was wrong, but I’m sure I won’t be. The assissination of a female leader is historically rare, & has never faired equally with those of male leaders, in it’s resulting consequences, or the court of public opinion. Rudy Giuliani, you outed and old man for having courage. YOU Sir are a coward! I have lost all respect for you, & I hope you never become my President.

So this is the “tough on crime” & “I’ll be tough on terrorists” Giuliani huh? Well he sure caved in pretty quick, within minutes after the media started twisting the comments of one of his campaign aides & taking them out of context. It took Giuliani only hours to scapegoat the poor old man for telling the truth about cave dwelling Muslim Jihadists.

But it’s apparently ok the flagship rumor-rag from the of city the former Mayor’s Glory days, the NEW YORK TIMES to suggest that Muslim Jihadists are dwelling in caves, or “Ant Farms”.

Well I have something to say to Mr. Giuliani, & that is that I will never call a man my President who scapegoats another man for telling the truth. We got enough of that from George Bush with Scooter Libby thank you. The Muslims he was referring to, (& everyone knows what he meant) are indeed thought to be, or at least at one time had been hiding in the caves at Torah Bora. Further more, Muslims have very rarely come out publicly to condemn 911 or any Jihad activities, because it’s part of their religious doctrine! I will believe that it’s a “peaceful religion” when when Muslims come on in the streets in droves, to condemn violent extremists, like they do when their celebrating an attack on America! You are coward Mr. Giuliani for firing John Deady, & this is one of the many reasons why I don’t believe you should ever be Commander in Chief.

May God help us if you’re elected, because this clearly shows that you don’t have the backbone to stand up to the violent ideology of Islam, & standing up to it is what most Americans want you to do.

Mr. John Deady, if you were standing in front of me I’d shake your hand & congratulate you for having the courage to say what many Americans are thinking, but are afraid to say for fear of being attacked by the ACLU & the Political correctness machine that’s driven by the engine of the Mainstream Media Moonbats. OK, enough is enough! russia (which from this point out I refuse to capitalize) has reportedly sold a missile defense system to perhaps the biggest nutroot dictator who’s ever lived (badmood amadinejad.) The initial report from Reuters read as follows:

tehran (Reuters) - russia has agreed to sell an S-300 anti-aircraft missile system to iran, iran’s defense minister was quoted as saying on Wednesday, a report likely to irritate the United States.

Likely to irritate? Well DUH! Try, LIKELY to PISS OFF the United States & count as the final straw in a ridiculous war of words that the national community needs to turn into a war of action. If the russians deliver that Missile Defense system to iran, the cold war is officially back on. Check out this comment from our arrogant kremlin friends.

russia’s drive to boost arms exports have raised tensions with the United States, which last year imposed sanctions on russia’s state arms trader Rosoboronexport for cooperating with iran, a move moscow has called illegal.

Illegal? Who are these stone age thinkers to tell us who we can & cannot sanction? I say we sanction them, & anyone who DOESN’T sanction them too! This activity is all on top of the nuclear fuel the russians delivered to them this month.

I say if russia wants to play the shell game with serious nuclear issues involving a rogue terrorist state, we should turn it into a game of “wack a mole”, & along with Israeli forces start surgically bombing each mille shield component as they try to put them into position. If History is any indication, the U.N. (united nitwits) will wait until tehran assaults Israel before they even hold a debate on Military action. We cannot afford to wait until tehran causes casualties to our allies. Furthermore, the world, & the United States cannot afford the instability this would create globally. Hey where’s the “Mainstream Media” on this story? It’s only one of the most important stories to break since Britney’s little sister got knocked up right? What? More important than that? Oh I’m sorry you’re right.. I’m just used to the definition of Important New that the “Drive By Media” as Rush Limbaugh appropriately coined them has jammed down our throats for years.

On to the important story. One of Al-Qaeda’s senior theologians is calling for an end to Violent or “Militant” Jihad. It seems he’s had a Jailhouse conversion from the way of violent Jihad, to the way of non violence. I sincerely hope that’s true.

In a serialized manifesto written from prison in Egypt, Sayyed Imam al-Sharif is blasting Osama bin Laden for deceiving the Taliban leader, Mullah Omar, and for insulting the Prophet Muhammad by comparing the September 11 attacks to the early raids of the Ansar warriors. The lapsed jihadist even calls for the formation of a special Islamic court to try Osama bin Laden and his old comrade Ayman al-Zawahri.

Once again we find that the only way to knock sense into the heads of a violent movement, is to physically knock some sense into the heads of a violent movement.

Sayyed Imam al-Sharif says that saying the attacks of September 11, 2001, were a “catastrophe for all Muslims.”

I believe he is correct, as I for one of many cannot see any reason to call Islam “peaceful religion”, & that bodes poorly for them in the big scheme of things, unless many, many, more followers like Mr. al-Sharif step forward to publicly denounce the violence, & take actionable measures to teach against it in their mosques. Radical Muslims made the mistake of thinking that Americans were too weak to still risk our lives to fight back after 9/11. Well they were wrong, & now they’re learning the meaning of the old adage; “Live by the sword, die by the sword.” Unprovoked, & wide-spread violence against innocents, is always sure to produce a negative & even more violent backlash to ensure that the safety of future generations is restored, period.

We all wish that violence was not a part of life, but as long as there’s evil in the world, there will be violence. Most American liberals would say that we have no right to protect ourselves, but as usual, they deadly are wrong too.

I would be ecstatic if Muslims truly denounced those who commit heinous acts against innocent men, women, & children, but it will take a lot more than one prominent voice in their community to achieve that.

For now, if they violently attack our nation & assail our way of life on a daily basis, you can be sure that the wars & the violence will sadly continue.  ~ Dan Lee
