Shocking news from Big Brother; Flying could be an electrifyng experience..

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

Some nitwits in the Department of Homeland Security have decided that it would be a good idea to imprison you on an airplane like a Dog that they’re trying to keep in the yard with an electric fence.

This is not a joke (unfortunately), & they are completely serious. The DHS wants to create a bracelet that will shock a passenger on an airline if they get out line. Everyone who enters the secure area of the airport would be required to wear one. Oh, & get this, they want to put the controls in the hands of a crew member on the plane. Not a law enforcement professional with criminal justice training, but just a crew member.

Besides the obvious constitutional violations that are immediately presented in tandem with such a retarded idea, I have a few questions about this. What if the crew member accidentally shocks the wrong passenger, or decides that a fight on board justifies hitting the “apply to all” button that we all know will likely exist? What about people with heart problems? Computer malfunctions? Bracelet malfunctions? Ok, now that we can see this idea is ridiculously reckless & dangerous, lets go back to the constitutionality..

Putting a person in what amounts to a pair of shackles (with a twist of voltage) absolutely violates the 4th amendment; The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

This idea absolutely violates one’s right to “self” & should never have been researched with tax payer money in the first place. It’s one more example of how out of control our government has become, & while I sympathize with the DHS’s need for security options, violating a person’s personal space with a mandatory shock bracelet is going more than too far. It is a form of detention, no matter what the advocates of this system want to try & make you believe.

Let’s just stick with the Air Marshal’s ok? I’d rather have one of those sitting next to me with a tommy gun on a plane, than have someone violating my personal freedom based on something I haven’t done yet, or even plan on ever doing.

Here is a video apparently promoting this system:

In fairness, there are also documents on the lamperd site discussing using these for controlling illegal aliens once in custody that you may want to check out regarding the “other” uses proposed between the DHS & Lamperd Less Lethal. Now that is a good idea, because they’ve actually broken the law! Also check out the responses from DHS over here at MM’s place.

As far as these bracelets being used to violate the rights of innocent civilians? I will campaign against them personally, & will be one of the first to file suit against the government if they try to impose one on me as a condition of flying on a commercial aircraft. How would the DHS/Lampert people react if I pointed a pistol at them the whole time they were shopping in my convenience store? They’d surely tell me to put the gun down, to which I would say: “Hey, I’m just keeping it on you in case you decide to rob me.. Besides, the safety is on right now, so no need to worry. You’re in very capable hands, just trust that I wont shoot you, & that I’m well trained to point this loaded gun at you safely…”

I leave you with this video. Is this what it’s coming down to?

UK, offering “Padded Protection” for stupid people. Socialism at it’s best!

Friday, March 7th, 2008

Too stupid to use a cell phone without walking into a Lamp Post? Not to worry! The UK Government’s latest role is to YOU GUESSED IT! Protect you, from YOU!

Padded lampposts are being trialled in a London street to protect inattentive pedestrians.

A pilot program has been launched in Brick Lane London after it was found to have the highest number of ‘walking and texting’ injuries in the country.

Hey I have an idea! Why don’t we make them buy cell phone insurance or just “walking insurance”, just in case they also damage some public property with their thick skulls, or hurt someone else by walking into them? With a skull that dense you could really hurt someone bad!

We could make a lot of money off of it à la Al Gore & his global warming/carbon credit scheme!

You know years ago I would have thought this story was a joke, but now I believe with more liberal fruitcakes in power in the U.S., this will also be coming to a city in the U.S. soon, along with the new Barack Hussein Obama “Change” program for pay phones.

That’s the one where you type out on the pay phone number/letter pad that you’re poor & homeless, & then the pay phone spits out a few dollars in “Change” for you to make a call with, or by drugs or whatever else you want.

Isn’t Socialism/Communism just great??!

I need to go stock up on food & ammo… It’s getting really weird out there. ~ Dan Lee

Democrats in Congress Witch Hunt Politicing, instead of Working again.

Wednesday, February 13th, 2008

Once again we see that we can trust the Democratic led congress to get any of the work of the people done. They’re too busy with their own Bush Derangement Syndrome.

The House is poised to bring contempt of Congress resolutions to the floor Thursday against former White House Counsel Harriet Miers and Chief of Staff Josh Bolten.

Croruptocrat House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers, a Michigan Democrat, contends the two did not comply with subpoenas issued by his panel, which is seeking information about the firing of U.S. attorneys. Can you believe this? King of unethical practices John Conyer leading the charge against well… anyone?? Please see the video on at this link for more about Conyers & his many indiscretions.

Conyers and his committee are taking this stand “with great reluctance,” he said in a statement Wednesday.

Great reluctance my ass… They’re looking for another Scooter Libby to destroy & to score some hateful partisan points the expense of the Taxpayers.

Get back to work Democrats! It’s your Congressional approval rating low enough?

I’m telling you people, it’s time to clean house in Congress this year. The Democratic led Congress is basically flipping us all the bird, & it’s time to remind them who works for who when the General election comes up this year. They have lost all credibility, & accountability. It’s time for us to take control of our Government.

Full Story Here.

Are Taxpayers just Bugs on Tenn Gov. Bredesen’s windshield?

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

In Tennessee we have a problem much like the one we have all over the country, which is Tax & Spend Democrats in state government. Surely most of you have heard about Gov. Phil Bredesen, & his wife Andrea Conte’s costly Governor’s mansion “renovation” project. Well now it’s become a “keep up with, & then way out-do the joneses” project, & at an obscene cost to taxpayers in Tennessee.

Renovations & upgrades to the aging Georgian Revival home on Curtiswood Lane were originally proposed by first lady Andrea Conte as a project that would be funded with mostly private money, along with about $1.5 million in taxpayer funds.

But now four years later, the project boasts a 15,000-square-foot underground banquet hall. toward which Taxpayers will be expected to pitch in some $11 million to $12 million in public funds.

In correspondence dated Jan. 7, state Reps. Frank Buck, a Democrat from Dowelltown, and Beth Harwell, a Republican from Nashville, asked Bredesen to halt the project.

“With the financial constraints facing the state and plans to cut departmental budgets, it is fiscally irresponsible to continue with this construction,” they wrote.

Additional Dan Lee Comments:

In Tennessee we went from having a huge budget surplus last year, to being in a position where we have to start cutting government services. Is that a partisan issue? Well I guess when you have a democratic governor wasting millions of dollars on his wife’s pet project, & a bunch of democrat cronies who won’t speak out against it, then IT IS a partisan issue now isn’t it?

I’m tried of hearing democrats crying that people are turning it into a “partisan issue”, when their party is in fact the perpetrators of the irresponsible behavior.

If I heard there was a lion devouring children at the schoolyard, I’d get my rifle & go look for a lion, not a bear.

Similarly, if I heard that there were Democrats (or Republicans for that matter), fleecing the taxpayers of Tennessee by wasting our money for pet projects? I’m gonna track down & point the finger at some Democrats & Republicans, & try to set them straight. I’m not going to blame the Green Party.

This mansion renovation is now thoroughly out of control, & a strong public backlash is the only way to stop it. I strongly urge Tennessee citizens to contact your state & local representatives to demand that this project is halted, & re-evaluated for fiscal responsibility, because as of right now that concept has apparently escaped those in charge of the project.

It should be noted that in a recent attempt by a Mt. Juliet, Tn. citizen Thomas Kovach to halt the project via a lawsuit, Bredesen’s lawyers had the case thrown out on a technicality that Kovach said even the judge called “unfair”. In a call to the Steve Gill of the Gill Report radio show, Kovach says he was basically out-lawyered by Bredesen, has run out of time & resources, & hopes that others will pitch in & fight to stop the project.

Kudos to Mr. Kovach for having the courage to stand up to even the most arrogant form of Government bullying & waste, & Dem. Rep Frank Buck for having the courage to break ranks with the Dems to at least attempt to restore some sanity. By the way, a huge tax increase is on the horizon for Tennessee citizens.. Go figure..
