I knew it wouldn’t be long before the MSM liars concocted an angle to explain why oil prices took a $15 plummet soon after Bush lifted the drilling ban by executive order. Take this article over at CNN that over-confidently puts the cause squarely on “thawing relations” with Iran in recent weeks. No mention whatsoever of the curiously paralleled timing of the drop (right after Bush lifted the offshore drilling ban.)

ANYTHING, ANYTHING but the idea that the prospect of having our OWN resources available to us could lower the cost of oil, right? The liberal media must have gotten an SOS memo from Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid to bolster their positions on Oil futures, capitulations to Iran, & help save Obama from his big mouth when he called Oil Drilling/Exploration a “gimmick”.

Well David Harsani over at the Denver post “may” be an ardent liberal, but I give him credit for his intellectual honesty & balanced view of the energy problems we face RIGHT NOW.

Don’t be fooled folks. If we get the barrels of oil to pile up behind fences around the country HERE IN THE US, then You’ll see oil prices come down. Do you know why Overstock.com has made money? Because they take advantage of mistakes that companies make in over purchasing products, by purchasing their overstock at a low price, & reselling it for a profit. But not only that, they buy from companies that made too much of a product that didn’t sell fast enough.

Well I’d like to see some discount sweet crude on overstock.com soon, because I’d rather give my money to them than to terrorist sponsoring nations in the middle east who are holding oil over our oil starved heads like a carrot over an emaciated bunny rabbit. How do we get there? The answer is simple. We drill AND conserve at the same time!

I can’t believe this is not obvious to our Congress. In fact I know it is, they just don’t give to turds about us, because we’re just a cheap piece of rope in a political tug of war to them.

In November, we should vote out any fool who stood in the way of our crucial energy supplies for political gain & over Congressional infighting.

If one man on a ship threatens the safety of 100 others, he walks the plank.. It’s time for these clowns in Congress to choose their political fate. They are either for us, or against us.. Drilling for our own resources could not possibly go against us.

Yep, shattered all over the floor, & it may very well be because of his “final straw” comments on the Iraq War. You see he was the golden child to organizations like the moveon.borg, until he began to move away from their insane expectations on withdrawal from Iraq, among other liberal insanities. The libtards are tweaking out now over his comments, but they are trying to do it subtly so as to look all stoic & calm about it..

When you flip & flop around like a fish out of water (which is he really is), eventually your halo will fly off & shatter on the floor. Barack is right about one thing, he’s not really a Washington insider, but not for the reasons one might assume. It’s not really by choice, but it’s more because nobody has respect for someone who is not only nontenured, but more importantly hasn’t done anything of note as a Senator since he arrived on the scene. I think he’s an outsider because the rest of the clowns in Washington simply got tired of him following them around looking like he’s doing something, all while the water from the back of his big wet ears keeps dripping all over their wing tips.

He’s got no experience, & a lot of speaking ability. Like a professional motivational speaker. Hmmm…Yes, that’s what Barack should really do, because it’s what he’s qualified for. Just my opinion, but I’m very far from the only one who feels that way..

He campaigned on a bunch of far leftist promises so he could “Out Liberal” Hillary, but now that he has, he of course cannot deliver the insane concoction of ideas he stood for during the primaries.

You can write off what I’m saying because you think I’m just a rabid Republican who wants to keep the black man down, or you can look at what I’m saying objectively. I mean what has he done? Name one piece of groundbreaking legislation the man has authored? Also, I’m a conservative before I’m a Republican, & that’s why McCain is on my S-list until he brings on a true conservative VP candidate to balance out his obvious “nanny state” inclinations.

Here’s the hard cold truth. We have two undesirable candidates running for office, but out of the two, Barack Obama is the least experienced & gets blown around in his convictions like a hot air balloon with no pilot. It’s my honest opinion that anyone who votes for him simply did not do their homework, or doesn’t Love their country enough to care that they are about to give the keys to the Rolls over to a blind man.

So a few days ago Bush lifted the 1981 offshore oil drilling ban put into place by his father. It was a smart & sensible move, & it immediately drove oil prices down about $9 a barrel. It’s simple, increasing supply, or even threatening to do it is going to influence the people who selling oil to drop the prices & maintain their precious market share. It’s easy business economics 101 stuff.. Competition controls pricing. But let me explain it for Pelosi & her minions anyway. Ok, ready?

If Johnny has a lemonade stand, the ONLY lemonade stand in the whole neighborhood, & it’s 105 degrees outside, guess how much Johnny can charge his neighborhood friends for a glass of ice cold lemonade? Pretty much whatever he wants if they want to get it without walking all the way three blocks back to home. But if little Jenny & Bobby on the blocks in between erect their own lemonade stands, then everyone will need to keep their prices lower to get a share of the market. Why pay an extra quarter to Johnny if you only need to walk 100 yds more, & can get an extra gumball out of the gumball machine by buying from Jenny or Bobby? Competition controls pricing.

Apparently the only thing more simple than that is the minds of the Democrats in Congress who are walking in lockstep with lead simpleton Nancy Pelosi. You know, the Congressman who thought gas was $2.56 per gallon at a time when it was about a dollar more?

Now months later we’re over $4 a gallon, & she’s still stalling for time. Why? Because if she does what is right for the American people & allows offshore drilling to commence, she will immediately have lost a POLITICAL battle with Republicans. It’s all she really cares about. After all, she doesn’t fill HER gas tank, we do, & with OUR tax payments to this government & her out of control congress.

You see if she can just hold off until AFTER November, she thinks she can make the Democrats look like the heroes by changing her tune in a flip flopping reversal that has become the signature of the Liberal Party, & even some of their rhino Republican kiss ass friends.

Meanwhile as they play their political games, the American people are going broke, & the economy is plummeting dangerously close to a deep recession.

I vote that we make the perpetrators pay dearly on Voting day in November. If you stalled on drilling & bringing relief to the people you were supposed to be serving & representing, you should be voted out of office. Remember, more than %70 (some polls as high as %74) of likely voters now support drilling for our own energy/oil reserves.

Keep standing in the way Pelosi… Go ahead, make our day.. >:)

So AP/Fox is helping some liberal professors peddle their extreme environmentalist agenda by airing their suggestions that higher Gas prices are actually keeping people safer on the road.. What garbage! And they had the nerve to call this science?

Today’s high gas prices could reduce auto deaths by nearly a third as driving decreases, with the effect particularly dramatic among price-sensitive teenage drivers, the authors of a new study said.

Professors Michael Morrisey of the University of Alabama-Birmingham and David Grabowski of Harvard Medical School found that for every 10 percent increase in gas prices there was a 2.3 percent decline in auto deaths. For drivers ages 15 to 17, the decline was 6 percent, and for ages 18 to 21, it was 3.2 percent.

What they have conveniently forgotten to tell you in the above story is how increased gas prices have forced many people to buy motorcycles to be able to continue to afford commuting to & from work. This same people are at a higher risk for injury & death on a motorcycle, & as a result, motorcycle deaths have nearly DOUBLED in some places around the US. They have increased dramatically overall, thanks to the inaction of the Liberal Democrats in Congress. Remember, the cost of Gasoline has doubled since Nancy Pelosi & her cronies took over Congress. It’s no coincidence that these little sham studies pop out of the mostly liberal University system around the country to try & justify the insane prices we’re paying. It’s all part of the liberal educational establishment trying to help their leaders save face in an election year.

The truth is that their inaction on energy policy, along with “some” but fewer Republicans, has gotten commuters who desperately turned to motorcycles for transportation, killed.

Stocks on the DOW Jones Industrial market dipped below 11K for the first time in two years today, which is about the amount of time Democrats have had control of the U.S. Congress, & throwing into question their ability to lead this nation out of a pending financial crisis.

I don’t want to be a hypocrite, so I won’t blame the democrats for every bit of this loss on Wall street, however nobody can deny that the Oil princes are causing most of the jitters, & the Dems have had no viable solutions. In fact, their refusal to capitulate to the rest of the country on the need to drill for oil on our own soil, has directly contributed to the worries on the Market.

I personally see a disaster in the making for the Democrats in November. Their decisions & current positions on oil exploration are effecting everything from how many Police patrol cars can afford to patrol the streets (instead of officers doubling up in patrol cars to save fuel), to the prices of food, & how much your 401k is worth, or growing. You my fellow Americans are the ones getting fleeced by the Democrat’s blockade on Oil Exploration, & now it’s even taking the stock market down in a serious way that hasn’t been seen since the 9/11 attacks.

The only difference is that we’re being attacked by 1 party of our own Government, & attacked from within. That would be the arrogant Democratic Party, who’s gas tanks we fill up on our tax tab. They couldn’t care any less what you’re paying for gas, instead of putting braces on your child’s teeth, because we pay for all of that for THEIR families out of OUR pockets.

Besides, aren’t we tired of sending our money to terrorist sponsoring nations in exchange for oil? I mean I know the Democrats aren’t, but I mean what about the sane folks in America?

1.2 million Americans have signed a “Drill here, Drill Now” petition that was formed by Newt Gingrich, yet Nancy Pelosi has determined single handedly that we are all idiots, & drilling for oil in American territories as a solution to high oil princes is “a hoax”.

Pelosi was recently quoted as saying:
“This call for drilling in areas that are protected is a hoax, it’s an absolute hoax on the part of the Republicans and this administration” Pelosi said at her weekly press conference. “It’s a decoy to punt your attention away from the fact that their policies have produced $4-a-gallon gasoline.”

Meanwhile China laughs hysterically at us, & drills for oil that should be going to us, just off the Florida keys.

Pelosi flailingly admits out of the other side of her mouth that putting more oil into circulation by releasing oil from the National Strategic Preserves would help lower prices, but somehow rationalizes that drilling for more of our own oil would not help. Does anyone else see how evil & crafty this woman is? She doesn’t mind weakening our national security in order to preserve her party’s relationship with environmental extremists, but yet she calls the idea of making our nation self sufficient on energy matters, “a hoax”.

Well Nancy Pelosi, your leadership in Congress is the real sham here, because since you took it over gas princes have doubled for the American people, & all you can do is blame everyone else.

Please be sure to e-mail “Speaker Pelosi” as I have, to let her know what you think of basically being called stupid enough to buy into “a hoax”.

Well that’s genius.. Nancy Pelosi apparently doesn’t understand what “strategic” means, because she’s pressuring Bush to weaken our defensive readiness by releasing strategic oil reserves to the public to help lower prices.

This of course plays right into the result Democrats long for, & that is the destruction of the United States as the most powerful & sovereign nation on earth.

What she also wants from her “strategery”, is to make it look like she’s actually doing something about Gas Prices, since for almost two years now not only have the Democrats done nothing, but their crackpot global warming policies have made everything worse for all of us.

By the way, the earth has cooled significantly in the last couple years, making Al Gore & his traitorous Democrat conspirators look like the complete morons & scam artists they are. Have you noticed that the Democrats now call Global Warming “Climate Change”? This is so that when things that they claim end up being wrong, they can fall back on the ever ambiguous term “Climate Change”, which is in reality what the Earth has been doing since it was formed. Weren’t the Ice ages “Climate Change”? There were no industrialized nations to cause that, so what happened then? The answer is of course that the climate has ALWAYS changed.

The only difference now, is that the Democrats have convinced many of the sheeple that they are bad little sheeple who are ruining the earth, & that they will lead the bad little sheeple to redemption with their genius energy & environmental policies. You know, the ones that have led us to pay $4.00 a gallon for gas..

It should be noted that Pelosi’s demand for reserve oil, is an admission that she knows that more supply would lower prices. She just doesn’t want to hand the Republicans any political victory by allowing them to open up ANWAR & other offshore drilling sites. SOOOOoooOOoo…. She’s rather put our Nastional security at risk by taking oil from the strategic reserves.

The Strategic oil reserve currently holds 706 million barrels, about 97 percent of the reserve’s 727 million barrel capacity. That’s the most the reserve has ever held and would replace foreign supplies for about 58 days. If we were cut off from the rest of the world in another world war, we’d have 58 days to win, or be overthrown. That is unless we get ourselves back to reality & START DRILLING HERE, & DOING IT RIGHT NOW!

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that taping this reserve would be both irresponsible, & extremely Dangerous to our National Security, yet Pelosi is apparently to blind with ambition & the need for personal redemption, to care about piddly little details like, oh I don’t know, HOMELAND SECURITY!?

The truth is, the Democrats, the Democrat led Congress, & their insane environmental policies have caused us the American people to suffer financially. What we really need is term limits for all of these revolving idiots. The problem is, they would have to vote to limit their own power to give that to us! Few of these politicians have the integrity to limit their own power, so we’ll have to find a way to encourage them to do so eventually.

As long as we vote for insanely liberal politicians (whether Democrat or Rhino Republicans), we are going to pay through our nose for it, while they eat caviar & drive around luxury cars on our tab.

I think it’s time to vote liberals out of office.. Obama will bring you more of the same, & McCain isn’t much better. So we need to plan for the long term strategy of reshaping the political landscape.
That’s going to take for the American people to take their heads of of their TV’s,video games & adult entertainment for a few minutes, to realize what’s going on around them.. Will we do it? We’ll see in November.. ~Dan Lee

You’ve GOT TO see Michelle Malkin’s timeline chart on Gas Prices. The sharpest increases by FAR occured in the nearly two years the Democrats have controlled our Congress. It’s no co-incidence.. Nor are the record single digit approval ratings of the Democratic led Congress any co-incidence.

See for yourself.. He says coal & carbon, are making us all sick. Well something is making him mentally ill, because more people die from Heart disease in this country from eating too much, then from any effects of any pollution that exists. He of course represents the Democrats, who want to bring this country to it’s knees financially, so that they can sell it out to socialism eventually.

We are paying well over $4.00 a gallon for gas in this country, & for an extended period now. This is undoubtedly one of the biggest front page worthy stories out there right now, but you’d never know it by looking at the major news outlets in this country.

So why are you seeing so very little of it? Well because the Mainstream Media is covering for the fact that Democrats are mostly to blame for the crisis. They don’t want to talk about this, because they’ll inevitably have to talk about THAT..

CNN’s top priority for today for instance (at the time of this writing) is to continue the smear campaign of Scott McClellan against the current administration . Fox goes with whatever gets the most ratings for the moment. Nothing about fuel costs on either web site, at least nothing that isn’t buried a few links deep.

I do however give MSNBC credit today for talking about how Obama flip-flopped on Campaign finance once he figured out he could rake in millions of $$$ from virtually untraceable sources.

But the fuel crisis is something they won’t bring up often, because the WHOLE Democratic party had a hand in creating this mess.. Keep burning up that capital switchboard with your calls. Maybe it will sink in eventually?

Yep, after I listened to this moron & his cohort suggest that we Conservatives & Republicans belittle those who ride bicycles on C-Span tonight (Even though this conservative owns two of them), I decided to read up on this loudmouth Jay Inslee.. He went on for a half an hour about nothing, & a bunch of unproven energy technologies that we “should have” been working on up until now. Well Mr. Inslee, what has your Democratic led congress been doing about that for the last two years? NOTHING!

But anyway, on to his suggesting to the leftist extreme online environmentalist group motherjones.com, that Arnold Schwarzenegger’s death will stop gas powered Humvee’s from being produced.

MJ: When do you think we will see the last gasoline-powered Hummer on the streets?

JI: When Arnold Schwarzenegger goes to his reward—how’s that? That’s a crack, but I treat Governor Schwarzenegger well in my book. He’s done such great work in California; we’ll forgive him one personal habit. Everybody should have one not-totally-CO2-friendly habit they can be forgiven for. So we’ll forgive him that one.

Yep you read it right. Straight from this low class horse’s mouth. Arnold Schwarzenegger being dead is the how we will get rid of Humvees according to Rep. Inslee.

He also said the following in this interview, but I think he forgot to call his buddy Al Gore up, & ask him to get with the program & stop wasting energy, before he said these things publicly.

JI: Not wasting energy. It is the least sexy, but the single most important and always the least expensive. You would be very interested in a report by the McKinsey consulting firm that concluded that 40 percent of everything that we have to do to mitigate our emissions are net economic winners. They are cost effective and the most cost effective is not wasting energy. That’s actually going to be the largest part of this whole journey, I believe—using less energy with the same beneficial results.

Al Gore, do you have Inslee’s number? Maybe if you call him once & a while & tell him how much of a hypocrite you really are, he’ll stop going out & overselling this environmental BS at the expense of your party? I mean I don’t mind because it shows Democrats for the hypocrites they really are, but man do you guys look like asses now!

During this tag team tirade on CSpan, Rep. Earl Blumenauer also suggested that the Government stop buying those damn Humvees! Yes that’s right, I guess he wants to put our troops atop unarmored 50cc Mopeds, balancing a 100 pound machine gun & tripod on the handlebars while they dodge I.E.Ds

I mean these suggestions were only slightly more offensive than Mr. Blumenauers really super gay bowtie, but still, that thing was REALLY OFFENSIVE, & thus so were his moronic statements!

Rep. Blumenauers tirade against most of America also included the suggestion that we generally don’t care enough to ride bikes to work like the gov. capital workers in Washington DC have been doing.. He apparently never noticed that the buildings in DC are like ten feet apart, whereas in rural America, you may have to go 10 miles or more before seeing anything, let alone ride a bike 30 miles to work. Incidentally, neither he or Jay Inslee mentioned riding a bike to work, or how they get around.

Listen my fellow Americans. Here’s the bottom line. These Democrats have had two years of full Congressional control to implement their grandiose solutions for lowering energy costs, & now things are about 300 times worse then when they took over Congress. They are running scared & playing the blame game, & go figure, it just so happens that everyone but the Democrats are to blame in their version of how we got to this place with exorbitant energy costs.

Write/call your Congressman. No more excuses, it’s time to work on drilling for our own oil, & natural resources. We tried it the Democrat way, & environmental groups & vile so called “Representatives” like Democratic Rep. Jay Inslee have led us to this place of despair. People like these two really need put aside their little partisan agendas, and get a clue about what the rest of the country is expecting of them.

Michelle Malkin makes a great point with a post today on the Oil Drilling debate. While there’s plenty of legitimate blame to place on Democrats in this energy crisis, why hasn’t Bush revoked the
Offshore drilling bans his father put into place, since he has the power to do that by executive order? Politicians are playing political games as usual, in a “No You Go First” game that is costing US citizens more than they can afford. Lift the bans Mr. Bush, & lead by example!
