If anyone is tempted to think that maybe this was a good move for America, let me assure you it wasn’t. It was like putting a new set of tires on a car that doesn’t run. It’s a financial Roe Vs. Wade type decision that leaves out the will of the American people.

First I need to say, that in all of my 40 years on this planet, I have never seen such blatant bias from our country’s media as I’m seeing this election year. We are in a dire financial crisis, yet there are few reporters or networks honest enough to put aside their own ideologies to uncover the truth that will save their own financial system. To do that, the truth has to come out, & the people who caused it must be removed from their positions of power & influence. It’s a perfect storm. It started with Congress encouraging lending to lower-income people. You went from subprime loans being 2% of total loans in 2002 to 30% of total loans in 2006. That kind of enormous increase swept into the net people who shouldn’t have been borrowing.
Those loans were packaged into CDOs rated AAA, which led the investment-banking firms [buying them] to do little to no due diligence, and the securities were distributed throughout the world, where they started defaulting.
When they started defaulting, out of bad luck or bad judgment, we implemented fair value accounting….You had wildly different marks for this kind of security, which led to massive write-offs by the commercial banking and investment-banking system.
In the face of those losses…you needed to raise new equity…which came from sovereign-wealth funds in part, which then caused political resistance to sovereign-wealth funds, who predictably have withdrawn from putting money into the system….It seemed pretty obvious that would happen. We now find ourselves with a liquidity crisis where fundamentally the cost of money for financial intermediaries [such as investment banks] is significantly in excess of their cost of lending it. So several institutions found themselves in a structurally impossible position. We had a series of bankruptcies, whether Bear Stearns or Lehman, or forced sales like Merrill. Goldman reverted to a banking charter for a lower cost of funds, which today is still not low enough for the business.
So that’s the story of how we got there.
It’s a shocking truth, but everyone should see this.
Our country is in serious danger, & a shift toward socialistic policies has brought us to this point. It’s up to the voters to turn it around, because corrupt politicians are getting rich, & many really don’t care if it bankrupts the rest of us. Breaking Story
A $100,000 state grant for a botanic garden in Englewood that then-state Sen. Barack Obama awarded in 2001 to a group headed by a onetime campaign volunteer is now under investigation by the Illinois attorney general amid new questions, prompted by Chicago Sun-Times reports, about whether the money might have been misspent.
The garden was never built. And now state records obtained by the Sun-Times show $65,000 of the grant money went to the wife of Kenny B. Smith, the Obama 2000 congressional campaign volunteer who heads the Chicago Better Housing Association, which was in charge of the project for the blighted South Side neighborhood.

So umm… Hmmm… Paying more taxes, & being punished for your prosperity through hard work is Joe Biden’s idea of “Patriotism”?
Well in the last couple years several major companies have moved here to Tennessee to escape Joe Biden’s version of “Patriotism”, because Democrats in other states made it too expensive to operate there. Nissan & Electrolux are just a couple of them. Oh, & guess what, they took a lot of jobs with them, that the “middle” class people that Biden claims to be watching out for, could have been hired for in the states these companies had to bail out of.
No jobs for them now though, thanks to High Taxes driving several corporate headquarters & production facilities out of states like Michigan & California, to here in Tennessee.
I mean we are enjoying all the jobs that they brought to us, but what about those people who are now collecting unemployment & food stamps in those other states because they can’t find a job?
It’s good for the Democrats vote buying schemes, because they will tell those same people who’s jobs they caused to be lost that they are going to take care of them. Just leave it to the Government! We will help you with some awesome “food stamp” prosperity, by taking from the rich, & giving to the people we made moor by driving all the jobs out of the states in which we have all the political power! After all, we can’t have these companies giving anyone an incentive to work, because then who in hell would vote for us?

Drilling may commence in areas that:
(1) that is in any Outer Continental Shelf Planning Area in the Atlantic Ocean or Pacific Ocean that is located farther than 50 miles from the coastline; and
(2) that was not otherwise available for oil and gas leasing, preleasing, and other related activities as of July 1, 2008.
Oh & get this.. Affirmative Action for offshore drilling now? What the…?
SEC. 109. SMALL, WOMAN-OWNED, AND MINORITY-OWNED BUSINESSES.
Section 8 of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (43 U.S.C. 1337) is amended by adding at the end the following:
`(q) Opportunities for Leasing- The Secretary shall establish goals to ensure equal opportunity to bid on offshore leases for qualified small, women-owned, and minority-owned exploration and production companies and may implement, where appropriate, outreach programs for qualified historically underutilized exploration and production companies to participate in the bidding process for offshore leases.
The Bill basically goes on to say no drilling off of Florida, or California, (since it allows for liberal Governors to “just say no to drilling”) or basically anywhere else that there’s actually known to be large amounts of untapped oil. Most of the untapped oil is within 50 miles of the coast lines. There’s a decent article about the whole stinky song & dance here.
So this whole circus act was designed to fool Americans into thinking the now unthinkable, which is that Congress actually got something useful done without partisan bickering.
Not the case.. They have only served to insult the intelligence of their constituents with their Sugar Pill Drill Bill.

Nancy Pelosi has refused to allow a vote on offshore oil drilling, but has also taken this country one step closer to being a fascist run country with State run media, by literally abusing her position to shut down the voices of her opponents by force.
Nancy Pelosi left the house of representatives on vacation for 5 Weeks, shut off the lights, & made sure Republicans who stayed in protest of not yet having an energy bill to bring relief to America, would not have access to the normal video feed used by CSPAN. For it’s part, CSPAN of course could go mobile on this & cover the Republican revolt, but being a part of the Obamedia themselves, they don’t want Americans to know what’s going on either.
This event will go down in the history of our nation as the moment the Mainstream Media in America officially & completely committed itself to being fascist & communist in nature. It will also represent the point where people like myself turned up our offense against the EXTREME liberal bias in the media, & the point where that bias is truly threatening the sovereignty & security of the whole country.
When a historically significant moment is ignored by the Mainstream Media in America, so that they can pursue frivolous stories about the latest scandalous Miley Cyrus photos, we have a very serious lack of credibility with the media that is supposed to be serving the public.

I was born in Worcester Massachusetts, but now reside near Nashville Tennessee. I paid $100 for a STATE APPROVED gun safety course required for a handgun carry permit in the state of Tennessee, & then an additional $115 to the State of Tennessee’s Dept. of Safety, as well as being fingerprinted (every digit) & having my handgun model recorded by officials.
Yet somehow If I want to return to my home state of 36 years, where I was born, I will now have to disarm & leave my personal defense weapon at home. Yes that’s right. I can drive a 2 ton weapon into the state of Massachusetts on my Tennessee drivers license, while across this country’s automobiles are the number one thing that kills & often dismember our nations teenagers, yet I will be stopped at the border &/or probably arrested if I bring my firearm into Massachusetts, even though I have paid my due. Of course I do have the unreasonable option of paying to fly into Massachusetts, paying for taking a second redundant hand course safety course approved by THAT State to the tune of another $100 & a couple of days of my time, & then paying Massachusetts for a hand gun carry permit.
Since I’ve already paid here in Tennessee, that would of course constitute Governmental “double dipping”. Also, while I am in the process, I will be there with no self defense weapon, & fully vulnerable to armed thugs in Massachusetts who unlike me, HAVE been arrested before. Or wait! Do I really have that option? Or do I have to be a resident? So far I haven’t been able to get a straight answer anywhere. This description on eHow.com seems to point to a very “over complicated” process that is designed to discourage my right to bear arms. In part is reads: “You will be required to justify your request in writing. Make your request as detailed and specific as possible. Valid reasons for requesting a concealed handgun include personal threats, being in a high-risk profession or routinely carrying large amounts of cash.”
Oh really? Not according to the recent Supreme Court Ruling in Heller Vs. The District of Columbia since the core holding in D.C. v. Heller is that the Second Amendment is an individual right intimately tied to the natural right of self-defense. Do not criminals shoot people in the streets? Do I not have a right to protect myself in Massachusetts under the Supreme Court Ruling? Or will we have no consistency in our country with regards to citizens rights under the Constitution?
As it stands I can’t go home while maintaining my 2nd amendment right to protect myself, under any circumstances. Yes, that is right. I cannot return to the place of my birth unless I give up my some of my constitutional rights. So what I need is a lawyer who is willing to help me to either mediate a reciprocity agreement with the state of Massachusetts, or to sue for one, to protect my second amendment rights. I am a citizen of the United States, & as far as I know, I should enjoy the same rights under the US Constitution in Massachusetts, as I do in Tennessee. This is not currently the case however.
The framers of our constitution believed that Americans possessed a natural right of self defense, which no government could abrogate. Now mine & others rights are being abrogated, in that we may not return to my own home state unless we give up our right to self defense with an implement that has clearly been deemed reasonable by the highest court of the United States of America, a hand gun.
I am anxious to hear from any natives of Massachusetts who have moved away, & face the same problem as I do. For the purposes of this article, I will call you “those of duel citizenship” since Massachusetts now treats us as if we are entering the state as foreigners. Please contact me if you are interested in supporting my effort to have my legally obtained hand gun permit duly recognized starting in my home state, as well as eventually extending to anywhere else that my constitutional rights are protected. As far as I know, that should be any U.S territory.
*Update* 7/29/08 Passing This Legislation would make all of our lives much easier, save tax payer money for legal costs to the states, & protect our Constitutional Rights.

Danielle Bologna was widowed on June 22 when Edwin Ramos, 21, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, allegedly gunned down her husband, Anthony, and two sons, Matthew and Michael, in a road rage incident when her family was returning from a picnic.

My question is how many legal citizens will have to be murdered before this country adopts a zero tolerance policy towards illegal immigrants? Matthew Bologna was a mere 16 years old when he was murdered by this man who didn’t belong here in the first place.

Because they take advantage of mistakes that companies make in over purchasing products; by purchasing their overstock at a low price & reselling it for a profit. But not only that, they buy from companies that made too much of a product that didn’t sell fast enough.
Well I’d like to see some discount sweet crude on overstock.com soon, because I’d rather give my money to them than to terrorist-sponsoring nations in the middle east who are holding oil over our oil starved heads like a carrot over an emaciated bunny rabbit. How do we get there? The answer is simple. We drill AND conserve at the same time!

Some nitwits in the Department of Homeland Security have decided that it would be a good idea to imprison you on an airplane like a Dog that they’re trying to keep in the yard with an electric fence.
This is not a joke (unfortunately), & they are completely serious. The DHS wants to create a bracelet that will shock a passenger on an airline if they get out line. Everyone who enters the secure area of the airport would be required to wear one. Oh, & get this, they want to put the controls in the hands of a crew member on the plane. Not a law enforcement professional with criminal justice training, but just a crew member.
Besides the obvious constitutional violations that are immediately presented in tandem with such a retarded idea, I have a few questions about this. What if the crew member accidentally shocks the wrong passenger, or decides that a fight on board justifies hitting the “apply to all” button that we all know will likely exist? What about people with heart problems? Computer malfunctions? Bracelet malfunctions? Ok, now that we can see this idea is ridiculously reckless & dangerous, lets go back to the constitutionality..
Putting a person in what amounts to a pair of shackles (with a twist of voltage) absolutely violates the 4th amendment; The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
This idea absolutely violates one’s right to “self” & should never have been researched with tax payer money in the first place. It’s one more example of how out of control our government has become, & while I sympathize with the DHS’s need for security options, violating a person’s personal space with a mandatory shock bracelet is going more than too far. It is a form of detention, no matter what the advocates of this system want to try & make you believe.
Let’s just stick with the Air Marshal’s ok? I’d rather have one of those sitting next to me with a tommy gun on a plane, than have someone violating my personal freedom based on something I haven’t done yet, or even plan on ever doing.
As far as these bracelets being used to violate the rights of innocent civilians? I will campaign against them personally, & will be one of the first to file suit against the government if they try to impose one on me as a condition of flying on a commercial aircraft. How would the DHS/Lampert people react if I pointed a pistol at them the whole time they were shopping in my convenience store? They’d surely tell me to put the gun down, to which I would say: “Hey, I’m just keeping it on you in case you decide to rob me.. Besides, the safety is on right now, so no need to worry. You’re in very capable hands, just trust that I wont shoot you, & that I’m well trained to point this loaded gun at you safely…”

And as CBS 2 HD found out, there’s no limit on how much they can spend.
Congressman Charles Rangel was recently seen getting out of his Cadillac DeVille, which he leases for $774 per month. Then there was Congressman Jose Serrano, getting out of his Buick LaCrosse, which he leases for $317 per month. And how about this one: Congressman Gregory Meeks was recently seen waiting for Congressman John Conyers to step out of Meeks’ Lexus LS460, which Meeks leases for $998 per month.
All those leases are picked up by taxpayers through a little-known program available only to members of the House of Representatives.

One of the foremost experts on hurricane forecasting says he may soon lose funding due to his open skepticism about man-made global warming, according to a report in the Houston Chronicle.
Dr. William Gray, who once said that pro-global warming scientists are “brainwashing our children,” says that Colorado State University will no longer promote his yearly North Atlantic hurricane forecasts due to his views on “Global Warming.”
Gray sent a memo to the head of Colorado State’s Department of Atmospheric Sciences that reportedly read:”this is obviously a flimsy excuse and seems to me to be a cover for the Department’s capitulation to the desires of some (in their own interest) who want to reign in my global warming and global warming-hurricane criticisms,” the Houston Chronicle reports.

Interesting that the Science community is using the same exact techniques to harass Professor Gray, that Ben Stein describes in his movie “Expelled”. Expelled is a movie that reveals how the science community ostracizes any individual in academia who will not blindly go along with their big Darwinist, anti-intelligent design cult.
This was their excuse at a prestigious University? School officials denied that Gray’s stand on global warming was an issue, and said that they are cutting back on media support for his forecasts due to the strain it places on the school’s lone media staffer.
So you’re telling me that they can’t afford another media staffer to make sure the work of a world renowned climatologist gets published? Ya right… Come on people! Be real, Ok?
Please take the time to write the staff & especially the administrative staff of the University to tell them what your thoughts are on silencing the views of others in a free society. The atmospheric dept contacts can be found here.
Please be courteous in your correspondence. Who knows, maybe at some point these scientists will listen to reason, whereas “reason” is something they have a personal stake in preserving. Political ideologies change & fade like paint, but reasoning will always be there for us, if we listen for it.
