One of the foremost experts on hurricane forecasting says he may soon lose funding due to his open skepticism about man-made global warming, according to a report in the Houston Chronicle.
Dr. William Gray, who once said that pro-global warming scientists are “brainwashing our children,” says that Colorado State University will no longer promote his yearly North Atlantic hurricane forecasts due to his views on “Global Warming.”
Gray sent a memo to the head of Colorado State’s Department of Atmospheric Sciences that reportedly read:”this is obviously a flimsy excuse and seems to me to be a cover for the Department’s capitulation to the desires of some (in their own interest) who want to reign in my global warming and global warming-hurricane criticisms,” the Houston Chronicle reports.

Interesting that the Science community is using the same exact techniques to harass Professor Gray, that Ben Stein describes in his movie “Expelled”. Expelled is a movie that reveals how the science community ostracizes any individual in academia who will not blindly go along with their big Darwinist, anti-intelligent design cult.
This was their excuse at a prestigious University? School officials denied that Gray’s stand on global warming was an issue, and said that they are cutting back on media support for his forecasts due to the strain it places on the school’s lone media staffer.
So you’re telling me that they can’t afford another media staffer to make sure the work of a world renowned climatologist gets published? Ya right… Come on people! Be real, Ok?
Please take the time to write the staff & especially the administrative staff of the University to tell them what your thoughts are on silencing the views of others in a free society. The atmospheric dept contacts can be found here.
Please be courteous in your correspondence. Who knows, maybe at some point these scientists will listen to reason, whereas “reason” is something they have a personal stake in preserving. Political ideologies change & fade like paint, but reasoning will always be there for us, if we listen for it.
Kudos to Larry King for breaking ranks with the rest of the liberal media, & asking Democratic Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi some tough questions on gas prices.
From her responses, including the current average price of gasoline, clearly she has a complete disconnect from the financial realities faced by those of us who do not have a personal government chauffeur. When responding to Larry King’s question on why the Democrats haven’t fulfilled their promise to “fix” gas prices, first she replies with the Democrat standard issue “It’s Bush’s fault” mantra, then she naively states that the current average price of gas is $2.56. King then corrects her saying “No, I think it’s $3.50 a gallon they’re saying now.” (Apparently King doesn’t buy his own gasoline either, or it’s inconsequential to him as well because of his high income; oo, like Nancy Pelosi he relies on others to tell him how much it is now.)
She goes on to reply “So it went down six cents.” Hmmm.. How did she get from $2.56, to Kings’ correcting her with his statement of $3.50 per gallon & then come out with “So it went down six cents….” ? Seems to me that the price went up from the figure she believed was right.. I mean as usual, she didn’t acknowledge the correction, so we have to go by her original quote. Because she (in her usual elitist & arrogant way) gave no explanation for being so far off, we can only assume that she really has no clue what’s going on.
It appears that the current leader of the United States Senate is both “mathematically challenged” (we’re talking about a Democrat here, so I have to be politically correct right?), & she has no clue what the American people are facing in the real world. You know, the world she DOESN’T live in?
All true.. Here it is in living color.. See for yourself:
“The way we’re going to close the deal is by winning. And right now we’re winning,” Obama said in New Albany, Ind., answering Clinton’s taunt about “closing the deal” from the day before. “I am confident we will be able to win this nomination.”
Well all arrogant & elitist people are over confident, but who is the “we” he’s referring to? Mouse in his pocket? Hamster? That little rat chef from Ratatouille? Speaking of little Rats, is this one of the “We” he’s talking about?
We haven’t even really figured out who Barack Who?ssein Obama is as a nation, let alone who his mysterious “we” people are.
I think we really need a President & Leader who can stand on his own, & who will strongly & publicly denounce associates of his who are racist preachers, & known terrorists. Don’t you?
As it turns out, I decided to do a little research into Ethanol, & it’s potential to cause damage to your engine, as well as the politics behind it’s use. As usual, I found that Money was the root of this Corn stock turned evil, engine eating, Go Green cash cow.
This is probably a good time to mention that in the 2006 election cycle, the Political Action Comittee for Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), the nation’s top ethanol maker, gave $120,000 to federal candidates while fellow agribusiness giant Cargill, No. 2 in ethanol, gave $223,000 to House and Senate candidates.
Fuel distributors are supposed to use only up to 10% Ethanol in their Gas blends that they deliver to the gas stations, (federal standard) because any more than that is known to damage engines & components exponentially as the mixture ration increases. As it turns out however, there’s nobody to regulate this, & the fuel distributors make more money if the water down the gas blend with more of the cheaper than petroleum Ethanol.
The result is that you pay the same $$$ for poor quality fuel that begins to burn badly when it has too much ethanol, & the distributors are getting rich as your engine’s pistons, valves & other components are getting pits burned into the top of them,or corrosive damage. Don’t believe it? Have a looky here at THIS LINK to a class action lawsuit against Exxon & Chevron.
I was at one time a fully certified technician in the auto industry. I can personally attest to the fact that both of my vehicles were NOT pinging & having detonation issues (or pinging) until the Ethanol stickers started showing up on the pumps. All other mechanical possibilities & reasons for my experience with pinging have been eliminated, which points to, YOU GUESSED IT! BAD FUEL loaded with Ethanol!
In the mid 90’s when ethanol started trickling into gas blends, 1980’s era Nissan’s had to be recalled for deteriorated injector O-Ring seals & hoses that caused fuel leakage. The cause was kept pretty quiet by both Nissan & the fuel industry, but as an insider at the time, I was told that the new ethanol fuel blends failed to consider the composition of some of the rubber seals & hoses that had been installed in recent years on fuel systems. As a result, the new fuel blend disintegrated them, & gas was eventually spraying or seeping around under the hood of some of those vehicles.
Now in fairness, for automobiles the rubber hazard has been mostly taken care of, but ethanol runs REALLY hot, & too much alcohol in fuel will burn the tops of ANY piston installed in conventional non racing engines like the ones we all have in our family cars/trucks. The overheated combustion then becomes uncontrolled explosion & heat, which is where the ping sound comes from. So when these Gas distributors get greedy, we are paying the price, TWICE. It’s typical of the Federal Government to jump on some politically expedient bandwagon in order appease environmentalist groups, while passing on the vote buying costs to consumers & taxpayers, & getting lobbyist money from oh i don’t know, CORN & Ethanol lobbyists??!
As usual we’re being fleeced like good little sheeple, by politicians & lobbyists.
Here’s what I recommend people.. Want to know the truth about what this is doing to both your car, & gas prices? Order a testing kit here, & read all the great consumer info at this website: http://www.fuel-testers.com
I ordered one myself, & I will be bringing you the results of my tests “Including Video”, in the near future. In the meantime, look for stations that don’t use Ethanol blending. In Tennessee, I found a few corporately owned Exxon stations who do not. That is where I buy my fuel. Now is the time to push back against this extension of a Global Warming scam, & demand quality fuel that won’t damage your already depreciating investment/asset, for a reasonable price. This is one evil Genie that we CAN stuff back into the bottle if we work together.
Gas prices hi $3.53 per Gallon today for regular gas. More on that later, but first!
Today top physicist Phil Chapman, the first native-born Australian to become an astronaut with NASA, said that the earth cooled quickly between January last year and January this year, by about 0.7 degrees Centigrade.
“This is the fastest temperature change in the instrumental record, and it puts us back to where we were in 1930,” Chapman wrote in The Australian Wednesday. “If the temperature does not soon recover, we will have to conclude that global warming is over.”
And finally, Last but certainly not least. It has been revealed by ABC News that Al Gore used fake, computer generated footage of “Majestic Ice Shelves”, & then compared those digitally touched wonders to random instances of melting ice in order to frighten people. If you’ve been unfortunate enough to sit through the movie, you know this is all true..
I say that it’s a bloody Gore-y day for Gore’s cash cow of global warming, but because up until recently his scam has been effective, the real victims have been the American people paying higher prices for fuel & maintenance, (in part) because of Ethanol fuel blend requirements. Have you noticed those little stickers on the pumps notifying you that the pump contains up to 10 or even 20% Ethanol? The dirty little secret is that Ethanol causes problems in many engines. Notice the increase in engine pinging? Well engine pining can damage an engine, because it represents uncontrolled combustion, & causes much higher combustion temperatures, thus putting more strain on your engine’s pistons, cylinder walls, valves & the motor oil that protects them.
Red Flag of the day! Airplanes (all aircraft) are banned and exempt from using ethanol blend and all alcohol fuels.
Hmm.. Doesn’t take a genius to know that there’s a difference involving SAFETY if they won’t let you run it in an airplane engine, now does it? It’s much harder to sue companies as a middle income individual if your car engine seizes over it, but if small charter planes that use it start dropping out of the sky, a lot of people will look bad, & companies with lawyers will sue over the inferior fuel quality. The FAA would be one of those agencies that would be embarrassed, thus the ethanol ban in planes. So that means they’ve heaped the costs of Going Green on the people they know are least likely to have the power, resources & information to fight back. The average gasoline consumer.
So as well as costing consumers in highly visible ways, Going Green is costing people in engine problems they don’t even realize are happening. It would take a pretty weighty scientific investigation to prove that your car’s engine was damaged by Ethanol fuel, & that’s what Environmentalist, Politicians, & Oil Refineries are counting on in my opinion.
The Bottom line? All this “Going Green” is hurting the middle class the most. When you’ve made upwards of 200 million dollars off of it like Al Gore has, then getting a new engine for your truck isn’t a big deal. That’s not so for the majority of US citizens though, now is it? It’s time to stop listening to the greenbats, & start drilling for oil in ANWAR. If we do, I guarantee you that oil prices will drop, & that the Caribou gods will not rain fire down on our heads..
The Democrats have a real problem here with the American people. If they are to be able to make good on their promise to lower Gas prices, they’ll need to get people like Gore to back off of the Green rhetoric. That puts them in a real pickle, as usual.
They said the following about Gas prices to get control of Congress, & almost two years later the Gas prices have only gotten worse. Check out their empty promises on the video below:
Barack said then:
Years of abandonment by successive Clinton and Bush administrations have made the people of small town Pennsylvania so “bitter” they “cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them”.
Barack says now:
“I am amused about this notion of elitist, given that when you’re raised by a single mom, when you’re on food stamps for a while when you were growing up, you went to school on scholarship….”
“So when somebody makes that argument, particularly given that I spent my entire life working with workers, low-income communities to try to make people’s lives a little bit better, then that’s when you know we’re in political silly season.”
Dan Lee says:
So you’re “amused” that people are dumb enough to think your an elitist huh? Wouldn’t that be the kind of reaction an elitist might have? Amusement at the percieved stupiditiy of others that might believe you’re an elitist? Have you considered that maybe they are right based on your reaction?
Here’s your free clue Mr. Obama:
When they called you an “elitist” they weren’t talking about back when you were a schoolboy, they are talking about what you have become.. In other words, what you are RIGHT NOW.”
P.S. I will personally admit that I am an “elitist” of sorts, because I believe that Conservatives are far superior in almost every way to Liberals. That is unless you’re looking for a politician who can increase the Government’s tax revenue, & the people’s tax burden. In that case they have us beat with one hand tied behind their backs. I do however believe that our elite status is subject & subservient to almighty God, who is the King of the elite, & the King of Kings.
But them I’m probably clinging to “religion” too much in Obama’s opinion.. Egads!!! We’re sorry King Barack Hussein Obama!! Not…
You gotta love You Tube (unless you’re a Democrats that is.) In 2006 the Democrats hammered away at the Republican congress over their (albeit fictitious) alliance with big oil. As part of their campaign to take over congress, they bashed the current administration over the rise in fuel costs, & promised that they would change things. Here we are 2 years later, & what has happened instead?
Well interestingly, as the Democrat led Congress’ approval ratings have gone to new record lows, the Gas prices for Americans have gone to new record highs! They’re pushing apart as polar opposites.
When the Dems took over congress, oil cost The U.S. $56 per barrel. Now? it’s $112 per barrel!
Nice work Dems!
I personally believe they (the Democrats) & a few naive Republicans were hoping to bully Big Oil companies into lowering their prices in order to look like the knights in shining armor during an election year. They got a big oil surprise though when they tried that. The big oil companies confused the congressional morons with well.. the facts! Like this one:
“We face a new reality, volatility, high prices, greater competition for resources,” said Peter Robertson, vice president of Chevron Corp., adding that he understands that “Americans see the pain” of $100-a-barrel oil.
Translation: “Why in the world can China make a deal with Cuba to drill for oil only 50 mi. off of the Florida Keys, but we are banned by the environmentalists from doing the same?”
Yes, those environmentalist idiots like Sen. Bill Nelson of Florida, who instead of being concerned about lowering the United States dependence on foreign oil, is worried that a Cuban oil spill could hurt the state of Florida’s environment and $50-billion tourism industry. He wants to block drilling in Cuba’s northern waters (& ANWAR, & even on the Beverly Hillbillies property retroactively), because his aides forgot to tell him it was only a TV show.
“Any oil spill 45 miles from Key West is going to absolutely devastate all those delicate coral reefs, the fragile Florida Keys, and would endanger pristine beaches all the way up to Fort Pierce,” said Nelson, a Democrat.
So he thinks he’s going to stop Cuba & China from doing this? If he’s so worried, why doesn’t he let the U.S., who has the best & safest oil drilling/exploration technology in the world, co-operate on energy matters with Cuba?
Interestingly also, Nelson’s own state’s environmental website doesn’t list oil exploration as a hazard to Coral Reefs, making him a double idiot for opening his mouth without even having the support of what would be presumably Florida’s leading environmental agency! In fact they list Boat anchors, ship groundings, widespread dredging, & land based sources of pollution as being the most damaging.
I’ll tell you the real reason why they don’t want us to drill while their power in the Congress is teetering on the edge of disastrous failure.. The Democrats want to hold energy over our heads just like they want to hold health care in their hands, & dangle it in front of us like a carrot at election time. That is until they get rid of those pesky election things altogether. Right now if we were to find a massive oil source with Republican president in office, & while they & the Greenbats are fighting oil exploration, it would be a devastating blow to their plans to build a fascist state controlled energy system. Well, a wise man once said that “A fact to a Liberal, is like kryptonite to Superman.”
That notwithstanding, it is my responsibility to bring you some:
Average gas price across the U.S. since this video was made has risen to $3.37 per gal today.
At the time of the making of this video about a year ago, it was around $3.00. This summer, most predict that we will hit $4.00.. Thanks to “Go Green”, for making your green go out of your wallet, & into your gas tank!
When Al Gore, the global warming alarmist & professional purveyor of smoke & mirrors politics left the office as the V.P. of the US, his net worth was about 2 Million.
He is now worth over $200 million dollars, in great part to his global warming carbon credit scheme, & speaking engagements.
It didn’t take long before Light Bulb companies & car companies realized that old Al was onto a massive Cash cow, & soon the news spread to money mongers all over the world.
After that, the professional publicists began to work the phones & spend massive amounts of ad money to create a very convincing “Go Green” campaign designed to dupe the masses into accepting more “green” taxes, & the fact that we would have to absorb the costs of Gas reformulation to “Save the Polar Bear”.
Meanwhile idiots in Washington have jumped the bandwagon so as to keep in stride with the left’s intention of making this a Presidential Campaign issue. Instead of Republican’s having the courage to expose the lies from the left, they found it more expedient to go with the flow. Without ever researching the science behind it, they bought into the lie that incandescent Mercury filled light bulbs that are believed to contribute to cancer would be better for us all, & in effect, mandated their use in homes & business by the year 2012. I don’t know who’s dimmer, these bulbs, or the lawmakers who signed them into law. I do know this though, just as in the case of the reformulated gasoline, their reaching into YOUR pockets to MORE THAN cover the cost of “Going Green.” I’ve also noticed that cars are pinging more than ever, which can slowly cause engine damage. I’m looking into whether this is a result of the reformulated gas, & I suspect it is. Again, the additional costs to fix your motor will come out of YOUR pocket unless we class action the oil companies who are screwing with it. But back to those light bulbs, which are a pretty good scam I’d say.. I mean actually getting people to pay them to put Mercury poison filled light bulbs in their houses, as well as raising your cancer & migraine headache risk. Oh, & by the way, you can’t just throw a Mercury filled bulb in the trash, because it’ll end up in a landfill, & then eventually in the water supply after it rains on that land fill. So guess who will pay to dispose of them? YOU!
Meanwhile those who have pursued truth in science can barely make their voices heard, but that is beginning to change thankfully, with sound & factual articles like this one in the Boston Globe online.
It’s just another way for greedy people to get rich, & politicians to make themselves look like “Agents of Change” by touting the their accomplishments in issuing the latest pop science backed decrees on the most recent leftist, environmental feel good fad.. One name comes to mind, along with one vision. Jimmy Carter, & long lines at the pump. Gas shortages, & $5.00 a gallon gas, coming soon to a station near you. ~Dan Lee
If I walked into a corporation & said, “Hi, I’m here to apply for the job of managing your production department.”
The first thing they would say is, “Great, can we see your resume, & a job history going back at least 5 years?”
What do you think would happen if I gave them a resume, & then qualified it by saying; “I know I’ve messed up with a lot of those people I’ve worked with, & some of them might not have good things to say about me, but don’t worry, I can do whatever you need here, despite all that.”
What if they asked you what makes you think you’d be right for this position, since in the past you’ve bucked your own management, yelled at & belittled your own customers, & told the company’s clients to “Calm Down” when they had some legitimate complaints?
Would you reply with this; I know I’ve made all those mistakes in the past, & I hope you’ll forgive me for them. I will listen to you if I get the job, & I promise I’ll do all the things I never did right before.
Now can I have the keys to the building, the company car, & the job please?
“We have had a few disagreements, and none of us will pretend that we won’t continue to have a few,” McCain said. “But even in disagreement, especially in disagreement, I will seek the counsel of my fellow conservatives. If I am convinced my judgment is in error, I will correct it. And if I stand by my position, even after benefit of your counsel, I hope you will not lose sight of the far more numerous occasions when we are in complete accord.” -John McCain
NO Mr. McCain, you will NOT stand your position when the majority of the country (or corporation) disagrees with you. We don’t get things done that way. And it will be when WE DECIDE YOUR JUDGMENT IS IN ERROR that you will correct it. What is this, a Monarchy?
Are there any managers reading this? Would you not say to this person, “Thanks for coming in, & good luck on your job search, but we really need someone with a more solid job history in Management.. Feel free to apply with us again in five years when your work history improves.”
I know that’s what I’d say!
Now lets take my analogy over to asking for the job of being LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD, the President of the United States. Do you think maybe the interview process should get even more stringent, considering the gravity of the responsibilities associated with it?
In the seventies the record industry ran itself like our government does today. You just had to know somebody, who knows somebody, & shazam! You were a record label president, even if you’d just got out of jail for racketeering. A little palm greasing, a few favors around town, & whammo, suddenly you got the job!
Well in the late seventies with record executives running around heading up cocaine parties complete with hookers & an open bar, it didn’t take long for the industry to completely financially crash.
After that, the record industry began to use sound hiring practices, & traded in the old school ex-con record executives, for college grads with marketing degrees. They improved the quality of their leadership, & executives, & began to make money again, until the digital piracy age came along, but that’s a whole other topic.
My point is of course that McCain want us to give him this job based on very little substantive performance as a Conservative Republican, & seemingly just because he has an (R) before his name. The truth is that if any business hired people based on promises of performance, rather than a HISTORY of proven performance, then we’d have almost no successful businesses in America, & they would all be running a 9.2 Trillion Dollar deficit along with our government right now.
Did you know that if the averaged sized company with an average expected profit existed from the time of Jesus’ birth, until today, they would still not be able to get themselves in debt to the tune of 9.2 Trillion Dollars? Only a moronic out of control government like the one we’ve had for the last 20 or so years could manage that.
If McCain has a way out of that debt, then I would have liked to have heard it before he got the nomination, but we haven’t now have we..
What we’ve gotten is a lot of empty words & promises that would get you shown the door if you tried to use them to get a management job at any reputable & productive company or corporation. It’s time we start holding our chosen leaders to the same standards we do to build a successful private industry or business.
I will NOT vote for, hire, or support a bad manager with a spotty track record. I will however focus on getting some good “Production Employees” (the people who really get the job done) in the Senate & the House. Without great production workers, a manager is only an shallow figure head with a company car & a corner office. I will now focus on putting productive people in Congress, & as I’ve promised. I will Cast my write in vote for Michelle Malkin, in protest of this retread Republican, who doesn’t deserve to be President. Why am I so hard on him? See what a Capitol Hill Staffer says here, about how McCain acts when he’s not ON CAMERA! ~ Dan Lee
“I don’t think that Romney’s going to succeed in getting to the right of me.”
Dan Lee says:
Mr. McCain, the earth is round… You only think Romney’s to left of you, but if you face away from him & run really fast & really hard, you’ll see how far to the right of you he already is.
Seriously, I think he’s starting to succumb to dementia, & I’m starting to see two distinct personalities emerge from him on a regular basis these days.. Don’t vote for him people, you’ll regret it. This election is starting to look like an episode of “Lost.” Full McCain Conservative media hate story here.
Romney told ABC’s “This Week” that McCain “doesn’t understand the economy” and that his advocacy of a higher gasoline tax to combat global warming would hurt U.S. consumers.
Romney added, “If we want a party that is indistinguishable from Hillary Clinton on an issue like illegal immigration, we’re going to have John McCain as a nominee. That’s the wrong way to go.”
Well that pretty much sums it up in a few sentences now doesn’t it? This country cannot afford a McCain Presidency, on so many levels.
Let us start with his record on immigration. Can we afford to trust that he won’t give the store away with such a horrible record:
Do everything I can to help all immigrants learn English. (Dec 2007)
Illegal immigrants are God’s children as well. (Nov 2007) 12 million illegals in country now is de facto amnesty. (Sep 2007)

McCain has an abyssmal record on taxing US citizens into the ground. Bipartisanship with Democrats should come pretty easy for a President with his ideals. So why would any Conservative or even an Independent ever vote for him? From his record on taxes below, McCain seens to be at best, erratic. Notice the “We need a simpler Fairer tax code comment, instead of just a “Fair” one. What’s wrong with having a just plain Fair tax codeJohn?
We need a simpler, fairer tax code, but not FairTax. (Nov 2007) Tax system is fair; wealthy pay bulk of taxes. (Oct 2007)

Well, it’s pretty sure that on top of creating an artificial controlled recession just in time for the elections, the retards in Washington are actually set to blow a few bazillion dollars of money we don’t really have, to “stimulate” their political image. On top of the ridiculousness of the whole “stimulus package” charade, they are actually argued over language that could have easily resulted in giving rebates to illegal aliens, (as if it was debatable) & then proceeded to cut out high income earners from getting a rebate altogether. Way to go Washington! They managed to close that loop hole, but no word on what to do about the gobs of illegals who have false identities & social security numbers, so they’ll still get a check. So lets recap; In effect, we penalize the law abiding people who pay the most taxes, but be sure that some illegal aliens can send our money out of the country where it’s worth more over the border! (at least for now)
Perhaps some of these Washington idiots are addicted to Viagra, & therefore can’t get “Stimulus” out of their heads?
Today I heard that some retailers are actually finding that people are putting off buying things, because they’re waiting for that big check to come in April or May.. Wow, that immediate stimulus really worked great huh? It’s causing people to HOLD OFF ON SPENDING, instead of spending now to head off this (albeit phantom) recession..
This is just really out of hand, & I’m thinking we need to punish the Republican party for going along with it, by not voting for any of their pseudo conservative candidates. I’m doing a write in vote for Michelle Malkin in the General Election if McCain wins the nomination. I’ve had it..
The Senate Finance Committee approved a stimulus bill that would give $500 to tax filers who earned less than $150,000 in 2007, or $1,000 to married, joint tax filers with a combined income less than $300,000. Each child under 17 would be worth another $300.
The committee vote Wednesday was 14-5 — with just three committee Republicans joining all the Democrats on the panel.
The new cap is higher than the House-passed version, which places a $600 limit on singles making $75,000, or $1,200 for joint-filing married couples who make $150,000. With assorted other elements, it raises the package to a cost of $193 billion.
Baucus, under tremendous pressure from his Democratic colleagues to cut America’s richest taxpayers out of the rebates, made the changes, and Grassley spoke favorably about the caps being inserted despite his preference for no caps.
But that’s not the only point of contention. An extension to unemployment benefits is shaping up to be the central fight when this bill makes it to the Senate floor.
The Finance Committee bill extends unemployment payments for 13 weeks to those whose benefits have run out, with 26 more weeks available in states with a 6.5 percent unemployment rate.
