Like most of our friends, my wife and I were ready to vote against Sen. Obama prior to his unfortunate pick of Sen. Biden as his running mate.

For a man from such humble beginnings who has risen to multi-millionaire status in just forty-six years. Obama’s notion that our country not yet good enough to suit his standards of fairness, equality, and opportunity just rings a bit hollow to those of us who have worked so hard to reach our dreams.

Obama’s idea that our nation owes the American dream to anyone who can crash our borders is frightening. Obama’s view that when we strive to do better for ourselves we have somehow been unfair to those who make no effort of their own, is wrong and unjust.

Sen. Obama’s ideas for change in America are far too dangerous for anyone who cares about our future to withhold his vote for Sen. McCain, just because McCain is not conservative enough.

Now that Gov. Palin has entered the picture the thought of voting for McCain feels less like blackmail and more like preparation for a brighter future. I don’t care if any displaced Clinton supporters vote McCain/Palin this November. We do not need the support of anyone who is so dogmatic about voting for a woman just because she is a woman.

Gov. Palin’s firsthand experience with ANWAR will bring needed clarity to the national debate about accessing our own oil reserves rather than spending billions of our dollars on oil that is owned by Islamic expansionists. Her understanding of the rights of firearms ownership and her experience at running a private business as well as running a state far exceed the limited scope of Obama and Biden combined.

When it comes to the issues that matter most to our safety and security a woman who has a proven history of performance that is grounded in the realities of faith, freedom, and family can be trusted to make the right decisions.

I can support four years of a McCain administration that is balanced by the influence of Vice President Palin. I look forward to the leadership of a woman president whose charm, ability to connect with the people, and conservative values inspire folks to compare her favorably to Ronald Regan.

True story.. I think I paid like $30 to join the NRA recently.. I just wanted to let them know that I would have gladly paid $33 if it meant having them send me things that said “Made in USA” on them.. As it stands I ended up with a baseball cap that says NRA on the front, has an American flag on the side, & a “made in china” tag on the inside.. Since I’ve seen other complaints about this on the web, I know they’ve heard it before. Anyway, while I obviously support the overall mission of the NRA, I think they should support American businesses, & cut out out the frugal fanny act.. I tore the tag off, because if I’m killed in a car wreck with my NRA hat on, it will save me the embarrassment of having supported the chi-coms by proxy, even if it was the NRA’s fault. Come on guys.. Just give the contract to an American company. When you do, I’ll give credit where credit is due..

After purchasing my Smith & Wesson Military & Police model .45 ACP pistol, I decided I’d look into some night sites or laser sight options for my new personal protection pistol.

That search eventually led me to a few different manufacturers, but the one that most impressed me was Viridian Green Laser sights. But hey, I’ve been around for a while now, & I know that many companies sometimes find ways to make their product look a lot better than it really is, in advertisements.

So, I put sort of a little challenge to Viridian Green Laser’s Brian Hedeen to send me one & let me bang it around in the real world a bit. Without hesitation Brian agreed, & sent me a Laser designed to fit my M&P.

When the laser arrived, the first thing I noticed was that it was shipped & packed very well. The second thing was that they supplied you with everything you need to get started. Adjustment tools, detailed instructions & batteries were all included.

I brought the laser to MatchMasters pistol range in Columbia Tennessee, where we put the The Viridian Green Laser to the test. The laser fits on the M&P accessory rail snuggly, & clicks in securely with a key-way that can be released with a push of a button.

One of the things I really like about this product is the ability to remove it easily before cleaning the weapon.

The laser was tested at 18 & 25 yards in very bright sunlight conditions, & showed up incredibly well on the black bullseye area of our targets. Usually most of the light would be absorbed by that portion of the target, but the Viridian laser overcame that obstacle with surprising efficiency for such bright conditions.

Soon after firing the pistol at 18 yards an maintaining a 2-3″ shot group of 5 rounds, I in inadvertently fumbled the laser sight while removing it from the pistol, & dropped it about 4 ft. onto the cement pad under the shooting lanes. There was no change in operation after dropping it, & then putting it back on the gun. One subsequent drop test “off the weapon” again from 4′, convinced me of the laser’s reasonable durability.

Battery life was not what we hoped it would be with the provided Duracell CR2 battery, but research into Laser Pointers indicates that this is an industry challenge for portable lasers in general, & not a challenge that is exclusive to Viridian. Realistic battery run times were 3 to 4 hours of continuous, or nearly continuous use, before there was a noticeable decrease in performance. With that said, rarely (if ever) would you need a firearm laser aiming system to be on for that long in the first place. Overall, the Battery power/runtime is sufficient, & with the availability of ultra heavy duty CR2 batteries out there, we don’t see this as a design flaw in the product itself. Additionally, battery changes were simple & required no specific tools, but just a small pointed object to unclip the battery door.

Many competing lasers seem to have on off controls that are hard to get to, or cause the shooter to alter their grip, or over grip the gun to activate them. In the case of the Viridian however, all that’s needed is a quick touch with your trigger finger just forward of the trigger guard to activate the laser. It also features parallel buttons on each side forward of the trigger guard that control the various modes of operation. Those include a solid pointer, & 3 other modes that blink at different speed. This is desirable in an LE or Swat type situation when each officer needs to know where their specific weapon is pointed on the target.

Viridian claims on their website that their laser is an: “Extremely bright green laser fully functional for daytime use, highly intimidating for night time use.”

As illuded to above, we found that in bright sunlight the laser could be seen reasonably well up to 50 yds away, as well as in dusk to dark conditions where the Viridian Laser could be seen easily at up to 250 Yards. That’s far beyond the useful & accurate range of any pistol or handgun ammunition. From our experience the Viridian Green Laser lives up to its creator’s claims to be effective in all light conditions. Pointing this laser across a field on a humid hazy night showed a constant beam all the way out to the target. We also tested a more expensive “red laser” product, & found that its visibility in bright conditions paled in comparison to the Viridian Green Laser. The green laser was brighter in all conditions, & would certainly be an intimidating deterrent to any assailant who had a half a brain to work with. For the other half, you probably wouldn’t miss them with the help of an accurate handgun equipped with this laser.

The best turn out in a gun related incident is one where nobody has to pull the trigger. We feel that the intimidation factor of this laser could not only prevent shootings, but also that it could improve accuracy in a chaotic situation, & save the lives of innocent bystanders who could be struck by potentially wild shots.

Overall we feel that the Viridian Green Laser site is an excellent product, & a great stocking stuffer for anyone who owns a handgun model support by their brand. Glock, H&K USP, S&W M&P, Springfield XD, Taurus PT 24/7,Walther P22/P99, are all supported, with a Universal Model coming in late 2008.

The laser we tested was a “standard power” model. Viridian Green Lasers are also available in higher powered laser models, but only to Law Enforcement & Military at this time.

I will not be shopping there anymore, & I would encourage anyone who values their Second Amendment rights to avoid these companies as well. If corporate anti-gun bias is going on in Florida, it’s going on everywhere in the country, bubbling below the surface waiting to rear its ugly head.

You maybe wondering why I only linked to the Publix Corporation so that you can send them your thoughts. Well here’s why; For them to assist in the violation of citizen’s Second Amendment Rights is particularly devious, since people NEED groceries, & NEED to go to some Supermarket to get their food.

In my personal opinion they are thumbing their noses at everyone by getting involved in this anti-gun bias, when what they should be doing is processing & selling food. Using the very powerful position of being one of the largest retailers of ESSENTIAL SERVICES to muscle through, &/or buy anti-gun legislation is particularly egregious behavior.

Here is an NRA compiled list of additional people/organizations that certainly would not want our tainted gun-toting, bible clinging cash either.. One of the most humorous entries is Uma Thurman. No, she certainly wouldn’t want anyone to “Kill” an anti gun “Bill“, or to promote like, gun violence in a movie or anything.. *Roll Eyes*

I was born in Worcester Massachusetts, but now reside near Nashville Tennessee. I paid $100 for a STATE APPROVED gun safety course required for a handgun carry permit in the state of Tennessee, & then an additional $115 to the State of Tennessee’s Dept. of Safety, as well as being fingerprinted (every digit) & having my handgun model recorded by officials.

Yet somehow If I want to return to my home state of 36 years, where I was born, I will now have to disarm & leave my personal defense weapon at home. Yes that’s right. I can drive a 2 ton weapon into the state of Massachusetts on my Tennessee drivers license, while across this country’s automobiles are the number one thing that kills & often dismember our nations teenagers, yet I will be stopped at the border &/or probably arrested if I bring my firearm into Massachusetts, even though I have paid my due. Of course I do have the unreasonable option of paying to fly into Massachusetts, paying for taking a second redundant hand course safety course approved by THAT State to the tune of another $100 & a couple of days of my time, & then paying Massachusetts for a hand gun carry permit.

Since I’ve already paid here in Tennessee, that would of course constitute Governmental “double dipping”. Also, while I am in the process, I will be there with no self defense weapon, & fully vulnerable to armed thugs in Massachusetts who unlike me, HAVE been arrested before. Or wait! Do I really have that option? Or do I have to be a resident? So far I haven’t been able to get a straight answer anywhere. This description on eHow.com seems to point to a very “over complicated” process that is designed to discourage my right to bear arms. In part is reads: “You will be required to justify your request in writing. Make your request as detailed and specific as possible. Valid reasons for requesting a concealed handgun include personal threats, being in a high-risk profession or routinely carrying large amounts of cash.”

Oh really? Not according to the recent Supreme Court Ruling in Heller Vs. The District of Columbia since the core holding in D.C. v. Heller is that the Second Amendment is an individual right intimately tied to the natural right of self-defense. Do not criminals shoot people in the streets? Do I not have a right to protect myself in Massachusetts under the Supreme Court Ruling? Or will we have no consistency in our country with regards to citizens rights under the Constitution?

As it stands I can’t go home while maintaining my 2nd amendment right to protect myself, under any circumstances. Yes, that is right. I cannot return to the place of my birth unless I give up my some of my constitutional rights. So what I need is a lawyer who is willing to help me to either mediate a reciprocity agreement with the state of Massachusetts, or to sue for one, to protect my second amendment rights. I am a citizen of the United States, & as far as I know, I should enjoy the same rights under the US Constitution in Massachusetts, as I do in Tennessee. This is not currently the case however.

The framers of our constitution believed that Americans possessed a natural right of self defense, which no government could abrogate. Now mine & others rights are being abrogated, in that we may not return to my own home state unless we give up our right to self defense with an implement that has clearly been deemed reasonable by the highest court of the United States of America, a hand gun.

I am anxious to hear from any natives of Massachusetts who have moved away, & face the same problem as I do. For the purposes of this article, I will call you “those of duel citizenship” since Massachusetts now treats us as if we are entering the state as foreigners. Please contact me if you are interested in supporting my effort to have my legally obtained hand gun permit duly recognized starting in my home state, as well as eventually extending to anywhere else that my constitutional rights are protected. As far as I know, that should be any U.S territory.

*Update* 7/29/08 Passing This Legislation would make all of our lives much easier, save tax payer money for legal costs to the states, & protect our Constitutional Rights.

Dick Heller is the man who brought a much needed lawsuit against DC, to lift the unconstitutional handgun ban that has threatened the personal safety of it’s citizens for years.

Despite a recent ruling by the high court, Heller’s (post SCOTUS decision) registration of his hand gun was recently denied on the basis that it was a bottom loaded semi-auto, & therefore the same as a “machine gun”. So here we are again, with liberals in DC being completely dishonest & playing with semantics.

Webster’s Dictionary defines a “machine gun” as the following:

Main Entry: machine gun
Function: noun
Date: 1867

:a gun for sustained rapid fire that uses bullets; broadly : an automatic weapon

Sustained rapid fire with seven rounds??? Doesn’t sound like Heller’s pistol even comes close to qualifying as a “machine gun” to me.. Clearly the DC moonbats had long ago gotten away with taking it upon themselves to break away from societal standards (such as the trusted Merriam Webster dictionary) to completely & arbitrarily redefine what a “machine gun” actually is.

The problem is that their little games will lead to more court cases to define the obvious for them, & it will be at the expense of the taxpayers. Meanwhile, the liberal media will black the stories out, & most of the public will never know that DC is wasting their money on trying to deny the Constitutional rights of it’s own citizens, unless people start to speak up for their rights.

Like most things the Democrats do, it makes no sense, but that’s not stopping the fascist anti-gun nuts in the Washington D.C. government from trying to impose more unconstitutional laws on citizens. Of course it will backfire in their face when people start carrying a revolver on each hip just like the old west, & speed loaders to make up for the low ammo capacity of revolvers..

They will also carry larger caliber/more deadly weapons to make sure that 6 bullets is enough to stop an attacker..

But just like most liberal policy, they didn’t think through any of that before they rushed to please the MoveOn.borg & the like, by putting out this saber rattling press release about banning semi-autos..

However wonderful this may seem for the manufacturers of revolvers, I don’t think the D.C. anti-gun loons have thought this through long enough, & I’m not the only one.. My guess is that they’ll have an epiphany any day now & realize how incredibly dumb they are to even suggest a semi-auto ban.. If they continue with this talk, they will be seriously embarrassed in the end.

Tonight I watched the Democratic National committee stand there & flat out lie to the American people about what THEY can do for this country, & what Bush hasn’t done. The truth is they have had control of most of this country’s power for two years now, with their control of the US Congress, & they’ve gotten less done than any congress in history. They have the lowest approval rating of any Congress in history. They have the nerve say that “On Bush’s watch” this, & on Bush’s watch that, when they are the ones who had the opportunity to change things, & they completely squandered it.

How we let morally corrupt trash like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid & Howard Dean become leaders in this once great nation, is beyond reason. They lie constantly & do it with absolutely no remorse or conscience.

They have the gall to blame the Gas Prices on Bush, when they were the ones proposing more taxes on companies that bring us our energy, thus eventually driving up the prices even more. Their party is the party that keeps us from drilling for our own oil & natural gas resources on OUR OWN SOIL.

I really don’t know what to say to my fellow Americans other than you’d better get your head out of your XBox, Sex in the City, & whatever else is distracting you from caring about what kind of corruption is occurring in the Government of the United States. These people are intentionally destroying the sovereignty of this nation because they believe in selling out to our enemies for a quick political payoff. Most Democrats do not fear God, because they don’t believe in him in the first place, so why would they have a problem with lying? They don’t believe that they will face eternal consequences for their actions, so what do these old farts like Pelosi & Reid care if they destroy the nation? The way they see it is when they’re dead they’re dead, so they might as well get all they can while they are alive.

It is critical that we take out the trash in the next 8-12 years, starting with most of the Democratic Party. As I said, I have never in all my life seen more people in a position of such power who are so willing to flat out lie to our faces for personal & political power & gain. Remember, one of the biggest problems facing this nation today is an energy crisis, & these people have the nerve to point the finger at others after 2 years of controlling the congress & doing almost nothing.

There is one comfort I have in all of this, & that is that I know that those who lie & cheat without conscience will face the wrath of God when he returns. That includes people like Howard Dean who’s viral lying words about President George Bush go far beyond constructive criticism.

Then there’s that complete scumbag Senator Debbie Stabow who has the nerve to blame Bush’s economic policies for her democratic tax & spend government’s failures in Michigan. Democrats have run Michigan into the ground, & this psychopath had the nerve to get up on CSpan & blame Bush. Bush is to blame for everything if you’re a Democrat. A manhole transformer explosion can occur in Moscow, & the Democrats will say that’s Bush’s fault too. These people are less insane than they are just plan evil, but they are a some of both.

My fellow Americans, I hate to be the one to tell you this, but you have turned your government over to one of the most vile broods of viper in all history, & they want to put a closet Muslim Extremist sympathizer in office to further undermine our sovereignty, & submit to like minded liberal,fascist,communist,socialist governments around the world. If we don’t begin to take out the garbage soon, you will be living under a tyranny that will be painful to remove.. It’s critical to your future & the future of your children that you remove this tumor that is growing on our nation.

After I watched the horrid drivel coming from the DNC, the idiots (like Mike German) from the ACLU had their turn spewing their hypocrisy & rhetoric (since they are are a front for the Democrats) on privacy & surveillance.

They sadly & pathetically try to use the abuse perpetrated by ONE police officer using an infrared camera to spot a couple making out on a roof, as proof that “Bush’s” surveillance policies have violated the privacy of the American people. Yet I’ve worked for Democrats at a college they run, & they monitor people’s phone calls, confiscate the hard drives & IM Logs of any employee that’s quit or been fired, & regularly try to brainwash employees about global warming & a host of other social issues that have nothing to do with their Job requirements.

In short, Democrats are largely vile & despicable lying hypocrites, & the way you can tell if they are lying to you, is if they are communicating to you in any way whatsoever, be it speech, writing, or hand signs. Turn this country over to these people, & we will be doomed to more than listening to the Liberal employees at Starbucks trying to force us to say “Grande”, “Venti”, & “Tall”, instead of speaking english in the United States. We will be doomed to bowing to the whims of the democratic party & whatever terms they have made with the devil while selling out our country to terrorists & their sympathizers.

My message to my fellow countrymen & women is to wake up & see what evil is creeping up on you. They want to tell you what size car to drive, take away your guns, & tell you that you can’t have bibles or prayer in public schools, yet they speak out the other side of their mouths about their concerns of over liberty & Government surveillance. These people are lying scum, & the Democratic party as it currently exists, must be defeated & destroyed, period. It has lost it’s moral compass, & besides it’s advocation of murdering babies & pushing the gay agenda on the American people, & blatantly lying to the public about phantom environmental concerns like “Global Warming” it’s list of moral atrocities grow exponentially every year. They have infiltrated & completely taken over the news media & educational system so that they can control the information the American people receive, & they regularly attack any media outlet with whom they either don’t agree, or who tries to present anything other than a liberal view. Liberals these days only believe in their own liberty. If you want proof, watch C-Span. It really should be call “C-Spam” (for cerebral spam), but that would be too much honesty for a liberal network to handle.

Oh. one more thing.. I wonder if it’s any coincidence that there was a man in some hardcore Muslim garb sitting in the CSPAN audience & listening intently to Mike German from the ACLU? Talk about surveillance…

Well folks, despite Obama’s media surrogates wishing that she’d just lay down & die, this win was significant. As Clinton has correctly pointed out, no Democratic candidate has won the White House, without also winning the state of West Virginia.

Ain’t NO WAY Obama is going to do that, since he trounced all over those people who “cling onto their guns & their bibles”, & rejected any notion of a federal gas tax moratorium. This weeks Clue: White working class voters apparently like these things Mr. Obama.. You’re gonna need some of that demographic to win. Obama:”Oh really?” Yes Barack, Really..

In fact, get your guns & bibles ready; because should the tide turn on Obama in about a month, you’re gonna see this country get REALLY INTERESTING in a BAD “can’t we all just get along” kinda way!

Founded on the web circa 25-Apr-05 The so called American Hunters & Shooters Association is a dishonest organization, that curiously popped up right after the 2004 Presidential election loss of the Democrats. This Johnny come lately organization has been critical of the NRA, despite their glaringly obvious lack of tenure or credibility on Gun rights or Hunting issues.

One needs not look farther than their “Who We Are” to find the inconsistency & dishonesty of this organization. In this section of their website, they make the following statements. A simple look at the survey they refer to, reveals that the survey said no such thing about Assault Rifles or Bullets. I suppose they are counting on people’s laziness in not actually reading the survey. That’s a typical elitist liberal response, & usually their downfall incidentally. Contrary to their delusion, REAL gun rights advocates are concerned with more than chewing tobacco & 4 wheel drive trucks. We do in fact read between the lines.

According to a 2003 Field & Stream National Hunting Survey, sportsmen overwhelmingly support reasonable gun safety proposals. Moreover, an overwhelming majority of hunters support proposals like background checks to purchase guns, keeping military style assault weapons off our streets and the elimination of cop killer bullets.

Now lets looks at what the survey ACTUALLY Said..

There a was only actually one question on the survey that was relevant in any way to the claims made above in the “Who We Are” section of the American Hunters & Shooters Association website.

15. Do you consider assault-style rifles to be legitimate sporting guns?
67% No
33% Yes

As you can see, this question & it’s responses have NOTHING to do with getting assault rifles off of the street. The question only addresses the relevancy of the assault rifle as a sporting gun.

Nowhere in the survey are the readers asked whether or not the assault rifle is a legitimate self defense gun, yet on the website, they try to spin the question & response to mean that Hunters don’t think anyone should own an assault rifle. They were asked about it for hunting, not self defense.

This website/organization is clearly & deviously bending the truth for their own political agenda.

Furthermore, nowhere in the survey were “Cop Killing” bullets mentioned, or asked about.

Secondly, if we were as citizens eventually subject to a government agency who went completely bonkers, why would we want them to be the only ones with access to armor piercing rounds?

Remember, Hitler disarmed German citizens, before he went on his genocidal assault against Jews, or anyone who didn’t agree for that matter..

This would also of course be a completely fascist position for any Gun owner/advocate to take, because the second amendment guarantees us the right to own any type of rifle, or ammunition we want. Whereas the Second Amendment includes the phrase; “being necessary to the security of a free State“, it’s clearly addressing our right to have sufficient firepower to protect ourselves against the rise of a fascist Government.

The authors of this website are trying to slowly disarm us, by giving you a couple Hershey kisses, & then stealing your King sized Hershey Bar (with almonds), while you sleep.

Don’t fall for it! They are a Johnny come lately political front, who will change their tune as soon as they & the Democrats have enough power to have a sing along.

I have just given you a clear example of this organization twisting, no correction MANGLING, the truth, in the most crafty ways imaginable. On certain parts of their website, they claim that they do not agree with the Hand Gun prohibitions in D.C. & Chicago ect.. This too is a crafty tactic. Why? Let me explain.

They know that hand guns are essentially ineffective beyond 50 feet or so, (150 ft. if you’re weapon uses the higher velocity rounds, & you have a horseshoe up your @$$) whereas an assault rifle has an effective range of as far as 2000 feet. So if they concede everyone the right to own a hand gun, then they could keep the really effective weapons in the hands of the Government, (assault rifles) & out of the hands of the people. What are we supposed to do, defend the republic against a rogue government/regime with pistols against these weapons? Oh that’s rich…

This is a very devious & crafty strategy, especially knowing how the handgun free zones are turning out to be a joke (VT shootings,D.C./Chicago gun crime rate still high, a Supreme Court defeat looming for Anti-hand gun proponents.) They know they are about to lose the handgun battle on constitutional grounds, but now they are (almost) ok with that, because they know you can’t fight a rogue Police state with handguns, & after all, it’s mostly inner city people they don’t really care about killing themselves with them. These are voters they can replace at the current child illegitimacy rate in their minds. So now they are trying to convince people that assault rifles are bad, (as if they bounce around on their stock & randomly murder people on their own.)

DO NOT be Fooled. Do your family a favor, & own an assault rifle, before these nuts have a chance to deprive you of your right to self protection through their cloak & dagger schemes. Also, keep your membership with the NRA, or get one. There’s a reason behind why these idiots keep attacking the NRA. They are trying to undermine the REAL GUN RIGHTS ADVOCATES.

“The NRA is extreme,” says Ray Schoenke, the former Washington Redskins lineman and failed Democratic candidate for governor of Maryland who is president of the American Hunters and Shooters Association. Schoenke also previously made a $5,000 donation to Handgun Control Inc., predecessor to the main anti-gun lobby, the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.

Be sure to read up on this guy carefully. He’s an anti-gun hypnotist, plain & simple. Ask yourself this: After Barack Hussein Obama’s “Clinging to Guns & Bibles” remarks about small town America, why in hell would any REAL pro-gun rights group endorse him?

Oh, & for anyone who thinks they can successfully criticize me as an paranoid about our Government, Just remember that those who forget the harsh lessons of History are bound to repeat them.
