Here’s why Mike is right: Because Nancy Pelosi’s flying carpet runs on wind power. It’s hard to fathom the perverse depth of greed that some people have in their hearts. Pelosi is smacking every American who’s unhappy with gas prices on the head with her gavel, & telling us to shut up. Now it turns out that she stands to personally profit from her policies as House Speaker, blocking a vote on whether or not to allow more off shore oil drilling. It’s the kind of evil you used to only see in movies or other countries.. Now it’s in our own government, & it’s all too real. If we convert automobiles to natural gas, & electricity to wind power, she stands to make a killing.
She also rides off into the sunset as an “environmentalist hero” with her self perceived legacy of “saving the planet” to justify & sooth her seared conscience.
Meanwhile, we ride around sitting in vehicles that have a bomb attached to them in the form of a highly compressed natural gas tank. Ever seen a natural gas explosion? Neither did these people.. They were dead before they knew it. Something tells me Pelosi will never be driving in one of these, anymore than she currently forsakes her limousines for a Toyota Prius..

I read this in the news today, & it made me wish I was in charge of the military response to Russia’s unlawful invasion of Georgia:
Abkahzian separatists backed by Russian military might pushed out Georgian troops and even moved into Georgian territory itself, defiantly planted a flag over the Inguri River and laughing that retreating Georgians had received “American training in running away.”
If Reagan were President, this wouldn’t be happening, & there would be sorties of U.S. Bombers & Blackhawks decimating Russian armor as we speak.
Meanwhile the UN (United Nothings) are of course sitting on their asses & waving a stick at Russia saying, “Now you better stop that or else.” OOooh now I bet they’re scared now! Not…
Why is this important to America you may ask? Well it’s important because this is a direct slap at America, & Russia is trying to put more energy pressure on us via a proxy war. Check this story out if you don’t believe it, because it’s essentially working at this time.
If the conflict has still not died down enough for BP to turn the gas pumps in Baku back on, Turkey will need to make up for the lost supplies by turning to Iran.
Turkey may be an ambivalent ally of the US, but they are still an ally. Russia has allied with Iran in recent years. Are you seeing the picture forming here? Basically Russia & it’s rogue nation allies like Iran, don’t want Georgia to be able to provide competitive energy to surrounding nations, & they are sour that we’ve helped them get that energy. This is a two prong assault on both the oil markets, & meant to be an “example” of what happens when you mess with Russia’s energy pimping practices.
It’s serious people. They want us & our allies hooked on their energy sources, & all the while we have people like Nancy Pelosi & her Democrat cronies trying to keep us from getting our own. She issues a house statement to condemn the “Russian intimidation”. Big deal! If there weren’t pansy nut cases like her to make sure we can’t get at our own energy, there would have been no incentive for Russia to act this way in the first place! How long until we’re speaking Russian under those conditions? Not long.. You can’t fight a defensive war without oil my friends. It’s never been done, & never will be. Thanks to environmental lunatics & extremist Democrats like Reid, Pelosi, Stoyer, ect. we don’t have the capability to run tanks & war planes on nuclear power either. We wont have much luck attaching windmills to M1 Abrams tanks either. So that leads us back to the oil that the white flagger Democrats hate so much doesn’t it…
I hope my fellow countrymen/women will understand how serious this move Russia has made really is. It’s not just a little skirmish, & it’s timing was purposeful. The Olympics are a big distraction for the world, & Russia knew it, which makes what they’ve done even more devious. I’m sorry that turning your head away from poll vaulting & swimming to pay attention to this is an inconvenience, but if you don’t, we’re going to have an even greater energy crises than we ever thought possible in this country by next year. Russia cannot be allowed to try & influence the energy market through brute force. It simple cannot be tolerated under any circumstances.
Additionally, when we asked Georgia to send troops to Iraq, they did. Not only that, they sent more than some larger nations did. Now, we owe them to at least keep Russia out of their country, even if that means sending troops there. Russia has no soul, & clearly didn’t mind bombing civilians, yet the left in this country is almost completely silent. There are no “Putin lied, & people died” banners being held up in the streets of America. That’s because leftists have always lined up with communism. They simply don’t care, because quite frankly many of these globalists wouldn’t mind being Russia’s or any other commie country’s “bitches”. The left in this country has no soul either, so that would be right down their alley. I hope that good people in the US wake up soon, because this seemingly “small conflict” has farther reaching consequences than most people are realizing right now.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi sold just 2,737 copies of her book KNOW YOUR POWER, according to NIELSEN BOOKSCAN.
The recently released anti-Obama book, OBAMA NATION, which debuted at #1 on both the BOOKSCAN and the NEW YORK TIMES Bestseller List, with 21,466 copies moved is apparently leaving her in the dust.
May I suggest re-naming the book to “Know Your Power-Trip?”
Maybe if the title is a little more representative of the author, people will get curious about what makes a tyrant tick & actually buy it.

Nancy Pelosi has refused to allow a vote on offshore oil drilling, but has also taken this country one step closer to being a fascist run country with State run media, by literally abusing her position to shut down the voices of her opponents by force.
Nancy Pelosi left the house of representatives on vacation for 5 Weeks, shut off the lights, & made sure Republicans who stayed in protest of not yet having an energy bill to bring relief to America, would not have access to the normal video feed used by CSPAN. For it’s part, CSPAN of course could go mobile on this & cover the Republican revolt, but being a part of the Obamedia themselves, they don’t want Americans to know what’s going on either.
This event will go down in the history of our nation as the moment the Mainstream Media in America officially & completely committed itself to being fascist & communist in nature. It will also represent the point where people like myself turned up our offense against the EXTREME liberal bias in the media, & the point where that bias is truly threatening the sovereignty & security of the whole country.
When a historically significant moment is ignored by the Mainstream Media in America, so that they can pursue frivolous stories about the latest scandalous Miley Cyrus photos, we have a very serious lack of credibility with the media that is supposed to be serving the public.
Michelle Malkin has been one of the most dedicated soldiers to bringing this out into the open, along with Sean Hannity, & I’d like to thank them for their commitment to bring the facts to light.
Let’s hope the Mainstream Obamedia follows suit soon, or they may risk losing what little credibility they have left at this point.

*Update* 08/06/08 from Steve Gill. There’s no Bio Diesel available at the dock where Al Gore docks his boat. If he’s using “Biofuels”, nobody seems to know where he got it, or how he got it too the dock, as it’s against the rules to bring fuel to the Marina.
Steve Gill reports that Mr. Green is once again thumbing his nose at we the lowly ones who he thinks must be energy rationed, with his “Do as I say not as I do” behavior. He has apparently acquired a giant house boat, & has tried to sell this boat as being environmentally responsible. He claims it runs on Biodiesel fuel. Yeah, that’s just great Al.
Al Gore’s boat fuel consumption is helping turn the poor into farm hands & wage slaves while displacing locals and destroying biodiversity all at the same time as seen here in Colombia, Paraguay, and Uganda.
Enjoy your boat Mr. Gore. Yes I know that people have died over the fuel/oil that runs my car, & I don’t like it one bit. But at least some of us will admit the truth, instead of creating some Utopian lie to make us rich at the expense of others. From one American energy hog to another, JUST BE HONEST MR. GORE!

Obama said Yesterday:
But on Saturday morning, Obama said this “wasn’t really a new position.”
“I made a general point about the fact that we need to provide the American people some relief and that there has been constructive conversations between Republicans and Democrats in the Senate on this issue,” he said during a press conference in Cape Canaveral.
“What I will not do, and this has always been my position, is to support a plan that suggests this drilling is the answer to our energy problems,” Obama added.
“If we’ve got a plan on the table that I think meets the goals that America has to set and there are some things in there that I don’t like, then obviously that’s something that I would consider because that’s the nature of how we govern in a democracy.”
What Obama Said in June:
“When I’m president, I intend to keep in place the moratorium here in Florida and around the country that prevents oil companies from drilling off Florida’s coasts,” Obama told reporters in Jacksonville in late June. “That’s how we can protect our coastline and still make the investments that will reduce our dependence on foreign oil and bring down gas prices for good.”

Apparently the pressure to do what even the majority of his own constituency is quietly asking the Senator to do, is beginning to cut through his mountain of an ego. Obama put on his flip flops today, & He supposedly wants to drill for oil now.. (keep in mind he’d flop over as soon as he got elected.)
What Barack Hussein Obama said earlier this year about off shore drilling:
He criticized McCain in the above video for what he says was a change of position by McCain on offshore drilling. Now he has changed his own mind for political expediency. The current “may support” language he’s using is just to ease his constituency into the cold water of his complete hypocrisy. People like the Moveon.borg have not responded well to his past flip-flops on major policies, so he’s just trying to condition them to his new position.

So the question is, if Obama’s original “Drilling is a Gimmick” position was the correct position, then why is he now changing it? I mean as a commentator, I can change my opinion about a major policy positions in the US, but I’m not trying to be President. If I make a mistake, nobody dies. If the President makes bad judgments, many could, & probably will.
Lets also not forget that Obama told CNBC he didn’t really object to $4 gas, just that it occurred too quickly. Obama said: “I think that I would have preferred a gradual adjustment.”

So today a barge was t-boned on the Mississippi river & spilled most of it’s oil cargo (9,980 barrels) into the river. Any bets that high level Congressional Democrats will in the next few days tout this as a reason why we MUST STOP depending on fossil fuels, & must not continue demanding domestic oil exploration? Of course the truth is that the ocean itself burps out oil spills much bigger than this from tectonic plate movements all the time.
Environmentalist’s time would be better spent bludgeoning automotive manufacturers into making sure their cars have better engine seals, & don’t leak oil onto the streets which eventually goes down the sewers than to worry about this little spill. But you watch, the DemoRats will exploit it.

No one was injured, but heavy, almost tar-like fuel oil spilled from the barge, forming a slick 12 miles long, said Lt. Cdr. Cheri Ben-Iesau, a Coast Guard spokeswoman. About 29 miles of the river was closed.

I knew it wouldn’t be long before the MSM liars concocted an angle to explain why oil prices took a $15 plummet soon after Bush lifted the drilling ban by executive order. Take this article over at CNN that over-confidently puts the cause squarely on “thawing relations” with Iran in recent weeks. No mention whatsoever of the curiously paralleled timing of the drop (right after Bush lifted the offshore drilling ban.)
ANYTHING, ANYTHING but the idea that the prospect of having our OWN resources available to us could lower the cost of oil, right? The liberal media must have gotten an SOS memo from Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid to bolster their positions on Oil futures, capitulations to Iran, & help save Obama from his big mouth when he called Oil Drilling/Exploration a “gimmick”.

Don’t be fooled folks. If we get the barrels of oil to pile up behind fences around the country HERE IN THE US, then you’ll see oil prices come down. Do you know why Overstock.com has made money? Because they take advantage of mistakes that companies make in over purchasing products; by purchasing their overstock at a low price & reselling it for a profit. But not only that, they buy from companies that made too much of a product that didn’t sell fast enough.
Well I’d like to see some discount sweet crude on overstock.com soon, because I’d rather give my money to them than to terrorist-sponsoring nations in the middle east who are holding oil over our oil starved heads like a carrot over an emaciated bunny rabbit. How do we get there? The answer is simple. We drill AND conserve at the same time!
I can’t believe this is not obvious to our Congress. In fact I know it is, they just don’t give two turds about us, because we’re just a cheap piece of rope in a political tug of war to them.

So a few days ago Bush lifted the 1981 offshore oil drilling ban put into place by his father. It was a smart & sensible move, & it immediately drove oil prices down about $9 a barrel. It’s simple, increasing supply, or even threatening to do it is going to influence the people who selling oil to drop the prices & maintain their precious market share. It’s easy business economics 101 stuff.. Competition controls pricing. But let me explain it for Pelosi & her minions anyway. Ok, ready?
If Johnny has a lemonade stand, the ONLY lemonade stand in the whole neighborhood, & it’s 105 degrees outside, guess how much Johnny can charge his neighborhood friends for a glass of ice cold lemonade? Pretty much whatever he wants if they want to get it without walking all the way three blocks back to home. But if little Jenny & Bobby on the blocks in between erect their own lemonade stands, then everyone will need to keep their prices lower to get a share of the market. Why pay an extra quarter to Johnny if you only need to walk 100 yds more, & can get an extra gumball out of the gumball machine by buying from Jenny or Bobby? Competition controls pricing.
Apparently the only thing more simple than that is the minds of the Democrats in Congress who are walking in lockstep with lead simpleton Nancy Pelosi. You know, the Congressman who thought gas was $2.56 per gallon at a time when it was about a dollar more?
Now months later we’re over $4 a gallon, & she’s still stalling for time. Why? Because if she does what is right for the American people & allows offshore drilling to commence, she will immediately have lost a POLITICAL battle with Republicans. It’s all she really cares about. After all, she doesn’t fill HER gas tank, we do, & with OUR tax payments to this government & her out of control congress.
You see if she can just hold off until AFTER November, she thinks she can make the Democrats look like the heroes by changing her tune in a flip flopping reversal that has become the signature of the Liberal Party, & even some of their rhino Republican kiss ass friends.
Meanwhile as they play their political games, the American people are going broke, & the economy is plummeting dangerously close to a deep recession.
I vote that we make the perpetrators pay dearly on Voting day in November. If you stalled on drilling & bringing relief to the people you were supposed to be serving & representing, you should be voted out of office. Remember, more than %70 (some polls as high as %74) of likely voters now support drilling for our own energy/oil reserves.

So AP/Fox is helping some liberal professors peddle their extreme environmentalist agenda by airing their suggestions that higher Gas prices are actually keeping people safer on the road.. What garbage! And they had the nerve to call this science?

Professors Michael Morrisey of the University of Alabama-Birmingham and David Grabowski of Harvard Medical School found that for every 10 percent increase in gas prices there was a 2.3 percent decline in auto deaths. For drivers ages 15 to 17, the decline was 6 percent, and for ages 18 to 21, it was 3.2 percent.
