Obama condemns family attacks on Palin publicly, because he knows the Daily Kos will do his biding anyway.
Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008Who is the Daily Kos? It is a group of some of the most extreme leftist pundits in the United States of America, & has slowly become the “unofficial” voice of the Democratic party on the web over the last 8 years.
A couple days ago Barack Obama made a statement that “families are off limits” & political campaigns & “especially their children”, but of course made no direct call for the media to stop their current attacks.
Why did he stop short of condemning the Daily Kos for their incessant personal attacks?
The reason is of course that while he’s claiming to condemn them publicly, his campaign is of course hoping it that the smear stories of these extreme left websites will do enough damage to hand them a victory. They do not care whether or not it’s moral to make these attacks, or if there is on iota of truth to any of them.
The Daily Kos continues to try to discredit Sarah Palin by any means they can find, whether it’s ethical or not, including attacking Palin’s 17 year old daughter for being pregnant out of wedlock. As if THAT’S never happened to any good family before, whether liberal or conservative.
Why does this matter? It matters because like it or not, the Daily Kos reaches a lot of people, & they are heavily funded by democrat contributions. They are in fact one of the lagest voices of the Democrats, & many would argue THE largest online voice they have. Here are their stats.

I would like to see people contact the Obama campaign & ask him to make an HONEST condemnation of this kind of behavior. One that actually has some tangible effect.
I’m not optimistic that he will come out & call for the Daily Kos,The Huffington Post, or the moveon.org of the web to stop their attacks, but none the less the voices of sensible & fair people should be heard by the Obama campaign on this issue. Please contact them & ask them to condemn the dirty pool that’s being played by their biggest online voices, as well as the Main Stream Media outlets that they keep snugly in their pockets.
