Fellow Christians, are you satisfied that you got McCain instead of a Mormon? Wrong Shepherd you dopes!
Nice job voting for Huckabee. Now you’ll get what you deserve in John McCain, for not doing your research. You were willingly duped, & now the most Conservative candidate we had left, (Mitt Romney) has been blocked out, & the Christian community as a whole is directly to blame for that, as well as for it’s lack of political involvement.
So now we will let Barack Obama, or Hillary Clinton win the Presidency, to teach the Republicans & the sheepish Christian Evangelicals who have followed the wrong Shepherd, a lesson. That lesson is, that you should care as much about the whole picture, as you do about your Christian values, because that is PART OF HAVING CHRISTIAN VALUES! Instead, you’ve effectively chosen two politicians instead of two public servants to lead the Republican party.
You have put the last nail in the coffin of the Republican Party. The only way it will recover is to resurrect it anew, & that will take an adherence to true conservative values, which is a principle that has dwindled over the last 20 years, even within the Christian community.
McCain is an old man with a bitter temper & a propensity to kowtow to liberals, & Mike Huckabee is his back door man. You have been completely deceived, & you deserve it quite frankly.
Now, we will turn the Presidency over to a group of people who will make it increasingly difficult for people like myself to fight them, by abusing their power to pursue things like the so called “Fairness doctrine”, & promoting things like Hillary’s “government blogging team” to help dilute the voices of Conservatives. They will use the tax dollars of you blinded sheep to attack your own, & you deserve that also. It’s too bad however that those of us that have tolerated hate mail & personal attacks, & threats to our careers while you were comfortably pew warming & going on with your oblivious piety, will now be assaulted by an even bigger & more powerful leftist machine than we’ve ever faced before.
I Love my Christian family, but I despise your laziness & lack of involvement in your own Government. You have unwittingly shirked the responsibility of watching out for the future of even your own children, by guessing who to vote for based on 30 second sound bytes,TV Ads & word of mouth. My Christian Brothers & Sisters, I don’t care to be popular with you, I care to be honest with you. You have failed to serve your nation with your careless vote, & mark my words, you will see that in the next four to eight years.
Our Conservative base is dwindling, & many are turning to being “moderates”, because it’s easier to get along with everyone that way. Well I have news for you my Christian brothers & sisters, you are not following what the GOOD Shepherd taught you, when he said the following; “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.” (Matthew 10:34 NIV)
Jesus was telling us that to follow him would often take sacrifice, not comfort & convenience. Christians of today want to treat politics like a TV Dinner, having their candidate all packaged up with a pretty bow, a description on the package, & even quick microwaving instructions to warm him or her up to their satisfaction.
Only problem is people, have you ever had a really amazing or even memorable microwave dinner? I call to my Christian brothers & sisters to wake up, stop following everyone who quotes a few bible verses, & has the gift of gab. If we don’t learn soon, we’ll end up following the swine into the lake, & drowning right along side of them. ~Dan Lee

gotta love it when a dittohead complains about another group blindly following the lead of their supposed masters.
I am a vet, a conservative, an evangelical and a proud american and I voted for John McCain because I don’t have my head up my butt like so many of these hysterical nut cases. First, you can dispense with the anti-american, traitorous rino, name calling bullshit. If you want to impugn my patriotism like you do in your weeping hysteria, do so without calling yourself a republican OR a conservative because neither of those two groups would brook such childish behavior from their comrades. At least not the conservatives and republicans we used to have in this party.
In case you haven’t noticed, if we are LUCKY we are going to have a minority in Congress and a republican in the white house. It will necessitate negotiation and compromise to “get things done” in such an environment. That’s not code for a liberal agenda, it’s reality. You want a continuation of the Bush tax cuts? You’ll have to get democrats to agree to do it. You want to do anything at all about illegal immigration? You’ll have to get democrats to sign on. You want to get federal judges who are strict constructionists? You’ll have to get democrats to help you.
If you want any continuation of a conservative agenda for the next 16 years, you will need a man like John McCain to FIRST get elected, and THEN negotiate and compromise with other AMERICANS to further any part of your agenda. He has demonstrated an ability to work with the other side of the aisle on numerous occassions and in case you haven’t been paying attention to the election returns, that is what the bulk of Americans, as well as the bulk of Republicans, want to see.
If, however, you want to be a whiner in the wilderness, keep behaving like a rabble of children vying for a Koz Kids lookalike award.

rlc777 Thanks for pointing my spelling mistake.However, I hardly think my spelling mistake will have the same impact on our nation as putting the wrong people in office. So my spelling mistake notwithstanding, I still think people who voted for Huckabee are dopes. So for the sake of your own honesty, I really do hope that you’re not equating a spelling mistake with how much of a dope you have to be to pull the lever for Huckabee without considering his positions. That is what most Christians apparently did. I would like to think that no Christian would want to steal money from the tax payers to pay for College tuition for the children of Illegals, because that’s one of the many terrible positions Huckabee has taken for our nation.

I deeply appreciate your military service to our country, yet I’m surprised that having been in the military, you haven’t learned the liberal definition of “compromise”, which is; We’ll talk about it & debate it, then we’ll still do it our way, ok? For example, they only funded the troops over the last year, because they had to from a PR/political perspective, not because they wanted to. I have no plan or desire to belittle or insult your Patriotism. I will however suggest a couple of great books for you, to help you more familiarize yourself with the ways of the left, whom John McCain has a bad habit of making his hang out buddies, I.E., Teddy Kennedy, Huckabee (the other fake conservative), Hillary Clinton, ect..
