New Film “JUNO” makes teen pregnancy look like a snap!
A teen pregnancy comedy huh? I’m not sure there’s anything funny about teen pregnancy, but somehow Hollywood has found yet another way to feed an unrealistic version of this plague on society to millions of teens everywhere. In the video trailer you’ll notice that the pregnant character “Juno” (who should have probably been Lune-O) refers to the baby as an “IT” & says ”IT” probably looks like a “Sea Monkey” at one point in the script. The film is chuck full of teen sex innuendo, drug use innuendo, & an overall flippant attitude about the horrible realities of teen pregnancy.
There’s no real discussion about abstinence, & abortion isn’t a problem for Juno as a consideration either. The leftist MoonPie critics are of course cooing over this movie, as it fits into their agenda for promoting the breakup of the traditional family in the United states & abroad.
The only redeemable part of the script is the fact that the baby wasn’t aborted, but the fact is it encourages all the wrong things, & paints an unrealistic view of how family, friends & financial realities effect these situations. In short, this script is mostly devoid of moral principle, & should not be viewed by the children of any sane parent, without a point by point discussion on why “Juno” would likely end up a “Real Life” train wreck in the real world, instead of the cutesy, giggly little pot puffer they’ve portrayed in this film. There are often very harsh emotional consequences for both the biological mother of the child, & the child his or herself, & this film sadly glosses that fact over like it doesn’t exist . ~ Dan Lee
